Bible Question:
what was god saying to job in chapter 42 |
Bible Answer: Never once had Job's friends prayed for him. But now Job, whom they had condemned and badgered, was to intercede for them. They had defended God's justice in striking Job down, But now they saw that God is concerned with more than justice; He is also know for love and grace. Repentance, which they had recommended for Job, was now what they had to do. Job had wanted a mediator between himself and God, but ironically he himself became a mediator for his three friends. In the end God restored to Job twice the number of things that were taken from him. |
