Subject: Are Modern Prophets Always Accurate ? |
Bible Note: Hello again dear prophet ezra brown… You Wrote... "...also 1corithians13:8 Charity never faileth:but wether there be prophecies, they shall fail" ......which you have taken to mean a reference to prophecy....but it is not....it is a comparison of the gift of love (or Christian Charity) to all the other gifts including prophecy. Context. And you wrote... "I could prophesy to someone the blessings of God and put a date on it but if they do not believe they will not receive".... Do you really think that God would depend on us to have what He said come true. That our actions will somehow either nullify or bring about what He says (through the Prophet)? You can put a date on it? I thought that God spoke through the Prophet. I thought that God would indicate a time frame. He can say "If my people will.......then I will....." He said it but He already knows what will happen, we are the ones who do not know what will happen. .....Goodness Gracious Man! Do you lay GUILT on the believer for the false prophecy from your own mouth. If the prophecy proves to be untrue then you are still in good stead as a prophet, it’s just those pesky weak believers that are the problem. Are you also a member of the "name it and claim it faith movement"? Study the context of the passages. That means understanding what has just transpired, or is being discussed, before the passage in question. Surely, one shared quality among the prophets is Biblical context. Sometimes some of us need to work a little harder on what is already before us. I have my own challenges...you have yours :-) God Bless....Jensen |
