Subject: Did David disobey? |
Bible Note: I like to think our God looks at our lives in their sum total. Is our heart and soul really devoted to Him or the Devil? It's a question we have to ask ourselves every day AND it's just as important that we answer in the affirmative and then repent as often as necessary, at least daily if not hourly. As to what David was thinking while committing the sin(s) he committed. I conclude that every man/woman likes to think they can hide this one small sin from God just like Adam tried in the Garden. But alas our God is the wisest of all parents. He knows our every thought before we're born but somehow we still have the freedom of choice. Explain that? How can I or anybody else explain it? I'm waiting till I get to heaven. Also, I do think we can gain a lot from Peter's example of walking on the water. As long as he and we are focused on God or His Son, we can do amazing things but when we take our eyes away from that kind of devotion, we're all in for trouble. God bless. |
