Bible Question: Hi, Thank you for your helpful response, but I had thought of putting the matter at rest.Despite the several answears amend comments forwarded to me byhelpful bros and sis.my mind is still in a cloudy state.Your response has prompted me to pursuethis matter furtherby asking the following questions. How did Abraham and Moses address and conclude their prayers? How did Jesus address and conclude His prayers? |
Bible Answer: That question is problematic. Abraham and Moses was before Jesus and Jesus being part of the Godhead would not pray to Himself. When a Christian prays they pray to God but they pray it in the name of Jesus our intercessor and the One that give us access to the throne of God. Romans 8:34 (NASB) 34 who is the one who condemns? Christ Jesus is He who died, yes, rather who was raised, who is at the right hand of God, who also intercedes for us. John 14:5-6 (NASB) 5 Thomas *said to Him, "Lord, we do not know where You are going, how do we know the way?" 6 Jesus *said to him, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me. I believe this is supported by Jesus telling us anything we ask in His Name (Jesus' name) it will be done. John 14:13-14 (NASB) 13 "Whatever you ask in My name, that will I do, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. 14 "If you ask Me anything in My name, I will do it. |
