Bible Question: Looking at previous form posts concerning the 12 tribes of Israel, it looks as though the tribes of Dan and Reuben did some evil things and were replaced with the tribes of Ephraim and Manassah. Am I understanding this correctly? Is it correct that the evil act of Dan was idolatry? What did Reuben do to get excluded if this is correct? Chusarcik |
Bible Answer: No. Dan and Reuben were not replaced by Ephraim and Manassah. When the Hebrews entered into the promised land, Reuben help the Hebrews conquer Palestine. Their families stayed on the east side of the Jordan, as did half of Manassah and the tribe of Gad. Dan, although they had trouble gaining possession of their "inheritance", they did settle what is still known today as Joppa. T'oma |
