Bible Question: i do not understand deuteronomy |
Bible Answer: Welcome shepherd! Deuteronomy is Moses last message to Isreal. It's purpose is to remind the people what God has done and encourage them to rededicate their lives to Him. Moses first address in 1:1-4:43 is about what God has done for us. His second address 4:44-29:1 gives us the principles for Godly living. Moses third address, 29:2-30:20, is a call for commitment to God. Verses 31:1-34:12 talks about the change in leadership in Moses last days. The book of Deuteronomy is also called the book of love and is called the crown jewel of the Pentateuch. It is referred to about 200 times in the New Testament. It lays before us clearly what God expects from those who He redeems; a life of uncompromising obedience. prayon |
