Bible Question (short): Moses as killer? |
Question (full): Hi y'all. I've been reading the NLV (I think) from the beginning. I have a bunch of questions, but this one is the most concerning/shocking to me. In Exodus 2:12 Moses kills a dude for abusing the workers he is trying to lead out of Egypt. WHAT??? How is this holy? How is this a good example? How is this justified/justifiable? Does God sanction this? Suggest it? It's like this little tiny 'oh, by the way' kind of passage and I was shocked. I know the God of the OT is 'rougher' than the NT God. Or I think I know that. But still. What am I to learn from this passage?????? Thanks in advance-- Zilla |
