Subject: King James bible only one to read? |
Bible Note: Kalos, thou speakest truth. The King James Version IS closer to the King James Version than the modern translations are, and I speak from first-hand knowledge. Last week I bought a King James Version, brought it home, compared it to a King James Version I've had since I was a lad, and compared it also with a half dozen modern translations. Behold, the King James Version I bought last week is much closer to the King James I've had for 50 years than it is to any of the modern versions. It doesn't seem to change much, so I guess I'll use the old King Jimmy for another 50 years or so. After that I may consider a new, standard, modern, enlarged, updated, expanded, revised, annotated, accurate, interlinear, red-letter, illustrated, simplified, sanctified and verified Reference Bible printed on acid-free recycled space maps and bound in Low Carb Genuine Imitation Embossed Non-Leather. --Hank |
