Bible Question: Does the book of Genesis predict the coming of Jesus (Specifically when God is speaking to Satan?) |
Bible Answer: Actually, many of the parts of Genesis predict Jesus: 1) The Protevangelium -- the seed of the woman will crush the serpent, but the serpent will bruise his heel (Gen. 3:15), 2) All nations to be blessed through Abraham (Gen. 12:3), 3) Judah given the scepter of Jacob (Gen. 49:8-12), meaning that he was given the right to rule over all the brothers. Reuben and Simeon were rejected because of their sins. Dr. Hugenberger (ghugen@parkstreet.org) teaches a class called "Christ in the Old Testament" through Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, and you can email him about these things further. (No, I'm not Gordon Hugenberger.) ;) ;) |
