AMPLIFIED 2015 | 2 Samuel 6:7 And the anger of the LORD burned against Uzzah, and God struck him there for his irreverence; and he died there by the ark of God. |
Bible Question:
Why did God kill Uzzah? It sounds like he didn't want the Ark to hit the ground. Did he have proper motives? Does David bear part of the blame for not following God direction (Num 4:5-6, 7:9) ... and consulting men (1Ch 13:1), an brining the Ark on a cart (vs 7, 2Sa 6:3)? Steve |
Bible Answer: Uzzah was 1) a man slain by Jehovah for touching the sacred ark 2) a Benjamite of the sons of Ehud 3) ancestor of a family of temple slaves who returned from exile with Zerubbabel 4) a Merarite Levite 5) the garden where kings Manasseh and Amon of Judah were buried. Uzzah shouild never have touched the sacred ark. Love in Christ RC.Scroll |
