Bible Note: Num 32:8 Thus did your fathers, when I sent them from Kadesh-barnea to see the land. 9 For when they went up unto the valley of Eshcol, and saw the land, they discouraged the heart of the children of Israel, that they should not go into the land which the LORD had given them. 10 And the LORD's anger was kindled the same time, and he sware, saying, 11 Surely none of the men that came up out of Egypt, from twenty years old and upward, shall see the land which I sware unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob; because they have not wholly followed me: 12 Save Caleb the son of Jephunneh the Kenezite, and Joshua the son of Nun: for they have wholly followed the LORD. 13 And the LORD's anger was kindled against Israel, and he made them wander in the wilderness forty years, until all the generation, that had done evil in the sight of the LORD, was consumed. (KJV) The age of accountablity at least from this section of Scripture is not 20. If the Israelites were 20 or above they had done evil in the sight of the Lord and would not be allowed into the promised land. I do not know of any Scripture that talks about the age of accountability. Doesn't mean it's not there though. I found 1 verse that has children of believing of one or more parent mentioned. I've been taught that this verse means the children who die will be considered believers and will go to heaven. I do not know if that is true because of the word "holy". But with the Scriptures making a distinction with "believing" parent or parents I would assume that those children of unbelievers would not have the same rights. 1 Cor 7:14 For the unbelieving husband is sanctified by the wife, and the unbelieving wife is sanctified by the husband: else were your children unclean; but now are they holy. (KJV) Remember the parable of the wheat and the chaff? There were children of God and children of the devil but they will sorted out at harvest time. God is a Righteous Judge. It is not our place to get worked up or emotional about when it's possible we may not like the answer given Scripturally. I think this verse says it all. Matt 5:6 Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled. (KJV) Those who incapable for whatever reason? God is a Righteous Judge. Let God take care of them in His time. |
