AMPLIFIED 2015 | Genesis 8:21 The LORD smelled the pleasing aroma [a soothing, satisfying scent] and the LORD said to Himself, "I will never again curse the ground because of man, for the intent (strong inclination, desire) of man's heart is wicked from his youth; and I will never again destroy every living thing, as I have done. |

Bible Note: No It is not a contradiction. Sir, you are still not reading it right. He doesn't promise that he will never do it again, He promises that He will never do it again with a flood. He makes no promise to Noah in Gen 8:21 He is talking to Himself, and He qualifies it by saying at the end of His statement "as I have done" i.e. with a flood. |
