Bible Question:
Genesis 6:3 tells us that God would not allow man to live more than 120 years. This perplexes me, since Sarah, Gen 23:1, and Abraham, 25:7, live 127 and 175 years, respectively am I wrong in this? |
Bible Answer: Hi, Renovate Me! God set a limit to the life span of future generations--was He being literal and if He was does God have no flexibility, no ownership? Even today, people grow as old as over a hundred years old, does that mean that everyone must live as long as one hundred? I offered Enoch as an example of God's mysteries... was Enoch better than Moses, than Abraham, than Noah? If we search the Bible we will find that, with the exception of John the Baptist, no man had a greater responsibility than Moses; and certainly no man besides Moses talked to God one on one as intimately as he... yet Enoch is chosen and received by God into Heaven! God's Way is not our ways! God Bless! |
