Subject: Is Cain Adams son? |
Bible Note: Hi. Thank you for your answer I deeply appreciate it. Although when read in that verse; (4:1) it may seem like Cain is Adams son but I was asking because of Eve’s conception of Cain back in 3:6 and 3:16. God tells Eve, “I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception” God is talking about multiplying which is to say “adding” to her conception, “her pregnancy”. In other words God is going to add a child to her already pregnant body. She is going to give birth to two children. This is why she tells Adam after she conceived a child from him “I have gotten a man from the LORD”, and “she again bare” which is to say she continued to give birth to his brother Abel. Abel was that seed that God multiplied through Adam but Cain? |
