Bible Note: Emmaus To a young man of my day the prohibition against fornication was so real especially with a whore that it virtually eliminated the very thought of it, therefore this saying made masturbation unthinkable. In today’s gender we might view this as promoting fornication over masturbation believe me when I first heard it, it rendered both inconceivable to me. In those days if you remember we didn’t look for ways skirt around the law. In fact we even stopped for red traffic lights and listened to policemen back then, and believed that if you killed someone you would be electrocuted. EdB |
