Bible Note: Thank you Makarios for the information but I do know all those things. My question is why do the scriptures use Jacob/Israel interchangeably? It cannot be to identify him for the reader as the names change occurs even within sentences. I looked up all scriptures where this occurs in the Hebrew text and it also changes the names for some reason. Everything in the Word of God is placed for a reason. I still have the question! PJC |
