Bible Note: Dear Lionstrong, Indeed, iron sharpens iron! If I may be allowed, I will share a personal experience. I worked at a Japanese steakhouse years ago, and learned a lot about fine cutlery and it's maintenance. Some chefs would go out to their station and put on a fine show of 'swordsmanship' and skill with a knife. Their blades were honed, but the skill was in their wielding of the tool. Other chefs were constantly making a public show of sharpening their knives, so much so that their expensive blades were soon reduced to a nubbin. But their job of cutting and serving food was subpar. Also, as a former carpenter, I can testify that an ultra-sharp saw doesn't necessarily cut any straighter :-) As Nolan Keck said, "We should examine ourselves to see what our motives are before logging onto the Forum." I will try to do so. In Christ Jesus, charis |
