Bible Note: Dear Hank, I fully agree with what you have written. This forum has been an eye opener in many ways. I have been more of an observer rather than a participant and I've noticed that many good questions have been posted and many biblical and sound answers have been given. However, sometimes this is not the case and as an encouragement to all I would like to quote a few verses here: "If anyone teaches false doctrine and does not agree to the sound instruction of our Lord Jesus Christ and to godly teaching, he is conceited and understands nothing. He has an unhealthy interest in controversies and quarrels about words that result in envy, strife, malicious talk, evil suspicions and constant friction between men of corrupt mind, who have been robbed of the truth ..." (1 Tim. 6:3-5) "Don't have anything to do with foolish and stupid arguments, because you know they produce quarrels. And the Lord's servant must not quarrel; instead he must be kind to everyone, able to teach, not resentful. Those who oppose him he must gently instruct, in the hope that God will grant them repentance leading them to a knowledge of the truth,..." (2 Tim. 2:23-25) "But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere."
