Bible Question:
Hi Doc, Thanks for your response. Can you direct me to a couple of verses that identify Christ as God. I need this for tonight and don't have time to look up. |
Bible Answer: Hi Marcella, I'd like to add a couple more for you: Acts 20:28 "Be on guard for yourselves and for all the flock, among which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to shepherd the church of God which He purchased with His own blood." This verse identifies God as the on One Who shed His blood for His church. John 8:58-59 Jesus said to them, "Truly, truly, I say to you, before Abraham was born, I am. "Therefore they picked up stones to throw at Him, but Jesus hid Himself and went out of the temple. This passage is explained better through what happened a little later: John 10 30 "I and the Father are one." 31 The Jews picked up stones again to stone Him. 32 Jesus answered them, "I showed you many good works from the Father; for which of them are you stoning Me?" 33 The Jews answered Him, "For a good work we do not stone You, but for blasphemy; and because You, being a man, make Yourself out to be God." They were very clear on what Jesus was saying, that He was God. I hope this helps! Love in Christ, Mark |
