Bible Question: Is there any scripture regarding whether Jesus could sin? Or, is it just common thought that He could not sin? |
Bible Answer: Hi, Marcella... Welcome to the forum! No, Jesus could not have sinned. He had everything He needed to sin, but He couldn't have sinned because sin was not in His nature. Long complicated topic of discussion, but that's the orthodox Christian position in a nutshell. From a verse standpoint, I'd point you to all the passages that identify Christ as God. However, taking another tack on the question, how about Genesis 3:15? It is the first mention of the Gospel in Scripture.
