Subject:  self examination

Bible Note:  Greetings, SP31!

We have much more to gauge ourselves against than just using the faith of Abraham as a barometer..

2 Corinthians 13:5 "Examine yourselves, to see whether you are in the faith. Test yourselves. Or do you not realize this about yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you? - unless indeed you fail to meet the test!" [ESV]

We must gauge ourselves to see if we are in the faith, that is, that we truly profess, believe and worship Jesus Christ as Lord! And we must 'gauge ourselves' daily (Luke 9:23), reminding ourselves of Him, and what He has done for us. Abraham had faith, but we believe in Him who is much greater than Abraham! (John 8:58)

Blessings to you,

Makarios
