AMPLIFIED 2015 | Genesis 2:9 And [in that garden] the LORD God caused to grow from the ground every tree that is desirable and pleasing to the sight and good (suitable, pleasant) for food; the tree of life was also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of the [experiential] knowledge (recognition) of [the difference between] good and evil. Bible Question: If the name of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil implies that evil had already occured. what evil are they referring to? |
Bible Answer: Satan had allready sinned against God.The tree of the knowledge of good and evil means that man and woman had a choice to make.Either they could obey God and live a life free from sin due to obediance,or they could learn the results of sin like Satan did by not obeying God and eating from the tree. The tree didn't have special brain awakening powers are anything. It was just a test of obediance. |
