Bible Question:
In Genesis 1 Moses tells us that God brought forth grasses, herbs, trees, etc on day 3 and that he created Man on day 6. However, in chapter 2 vs. 4--7, Moses says, "This is the history before any plant of the field and before any herb, etc. and God breathed into man the breath of life. Can you help clear up this mystery for me. Dale Weaver |
Bible Answer: Greetings Dale! The key to your question seems to be the phrase 'of the field'. This phrase seems to be saying that there were plants, but not cultivated plants. This would be supported by the rest of the verse which specifically mentions that the reasons were that there was no rain and no man to till the ground. I hope this helps!
