Bible Question (short): Hebrew for cultivate in 2:5, 2:15, 3:23 |
Question (full): Thank you for an excellent translation. One of the features of the NASB I like is the extensive centre column note system. My question has to do with the word "cultivate" in Gen. 2:15 and 3:23. In Gen. 2:5 "cultivate" appears with a notation indicating "Lit. work or serve." No such notation appears for the same word used in 2:15 and 3:23. Does this mean that a different Hebrew word is used in Gen. 2:5 than in 2:15 and 3:23? |
