AMPLIFIED 2015 | Genesis 1:26 ¶ Then God said, "Let Us (Father, Son, Holy Spirit) make man in Our image, according to Our likeness [not physical, but a spiritual personality and moral likeness]; and let them have complete authority over the fish of the sea, the birds of the air, the cattle, and over the entire earth, and over everything that creeps and crawls on the earth." Bible Note: Greetings Homer4v! It is a very unusual position to say that the animals on the ark included people of other races. There are two problems with this theory. 1) The natural reading of the text in Genesis makes it clear that the pairs being discussed are animals, not people. 2) Secondly, 1 Peter 3:20 specifically states that only 8 people were saved on the Ark. This is in complete agreement with the account in Genesis that Noah, his wife, his three sons, and their wives were the ones who entered the ark. Here is the text of 1 Peter 3:20 - "who disobeyed long ago when God waited patiently in the days of Noah while the ark was being built. In it only a few people, eight in all, were saved through water," Notice that God's word says that only eight people were saved on the ark, not two of each race! Your Brother in Christ, Tim Moran |
