NASB | Genesis 1:26 ¶ Then God said, "Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; and let them rule over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the sky and over the cattle and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth." |
AMPLIFIED 2015 | Genesis 1:26 ¶ Then God said, "Let Us (Father, Son, Holy Spirit) make man in Our image, according to Our likeness [not physical, but a spiritual personality and moral likeness]; and let them have complete authority over the fish of the sea, the birds of the air, the cattle, and over the entire earth, and over everything that creeps and crawls on the earth." Bible Note: I always love it when people use the word "impossible". It is "impossible" that a person who is dead for three days comes back to life. It is "impossible" for the world to be created in 6 days. It is "impossible" for man to be created from dirt. It is "impossible" to feed five thousand with a few loaves and couple of fish. My God specializes in the "impossible". MT 19:26 And looking at them Jesus said to them, “ With people this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.” 1CO 1:18 For the word of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God. 1CO 1:25 Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men, and the weakness of God is stronger than men. |
