Bible Note: Dear Prayon, This interests me. The laws of nature are part of the decrees of God. Harmony, order, and design demonstrate the power of God -- both in His creation and preservation of the universe. He divinely maintains the continuity of the universe -- which is a clear manifestation of His character -- as an act of common grace. What you are suggesting, therefore, is that a mere human being can contravene the will of God in creation by uttering a statement a sufficient (whatever that might be) number of times. This raises several interesting questions: How does this differ from what a heathen attempts through incantations? Why would God, then, insist that believers avoid such things (Deut 18:11)? If God would allow the contravening of physics in the fashion that you mention, how does this differ from a person saying "True is false" over and over again? Would you really like to live in a universe that fundamentally changed just because people spoke something contrary to how it functioned? In Him, Doc |
