Subject: The "Big BAM" |
Bible Note: Thanks for your comments, Bob. Not only "Where did the energy for the Big Bang come from? but also, "Whence came the 'huge body of dense matter?'" The traditional Jewish and Christian belief is that Genesis 1:1 says that God created the universe from nothing (Lat. ex nihilo), and that the word translated "created" (Heb. bara) is used exclusively with God as its subject. The first words of Scripture declare that God created the universe, thus refuting in the first 10 words atheism, pantheism, polytheism, and evolution. --Hank |
