Bible Note: CDBJ: There is a web site for everything under the sun and over it! and thus I give you this one regarding the doctrine of the angelic conflict: www.gbible.org/ANGELIC_CONFLICT_PART1.htm. Part 1 is so drawn out and flatulent I nodded off and never got to Part 2, if there is one! The author of this piece cites Scripture that he feels supports his views, but in my view bends and warps them considerably in the process. His logic takes some effort to follow, taking, as it does, quantum jumps from point A to point Z and ignoring the rest of the alphabet in between. I won't attempt to summarize this doctrine here and now. For one thing, it's rather complex and involved; and for another, I think so little of this crazy scheme that I don't feel it deserves serious consideration. It's just one of an army of wild and speculative "answers" to the origin of angels, man, and of course Satan. Anyway, visit the web site and learn more than you probably ever wanted to know about the angelic conflict! I hope you manage to stay awake longer than I did :-) --Hank |
