Subject: When did God create angels? |
Bible Note: Dear Lionstrong...Perhaps, just perhaps.... God did create angels prior to Gen 1:1. That, for me, is thinking way outside the box. I have always agreed with the position that you hold. But, for purposes of discussion, Steve asks a good question. Ex 20:11 "For in six days the LORD made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, but he rested on the seventh day." What makes us think that the angels were part of the heaven creation? Angels came to the earth part of creation, could they not have come to the heaven part of creation also? Does this sound stupid? Since I have always thought of the angels as being from heaven I never considered that angels may have existed earlier than the period we call creation. The text does not specify when angels were created unless they were part of the heaven creation. Just some thoughts :-) God Bless....Jensen |
