81 | THE MOST POWERFUL VERSE IN EVANGELISM | John 12:32 | tj57h@cs.com | 103947
Praise his name, Exault him, sing praises unto him. He is already lifted up and all men are drawn unto him; however, If someone does not proclame it those who are lost will not hear it, believe and become born again. We participate in his exaltation by proclaming the good news, the Gospel. It is settled im my mind and heart, save the further writings and take the time to tell someone about him. That is what we are to do. Which is more important, spending hours proving someone is wrong in their understanding and you are right or telling someone that Jesus is alive and has paid the price for their sins. Praise God if I am wrong in my understanding, because Jesus Christ is preached and that he has risen. I am just proclaming that he is lifted up. He is drawing all men unto himself. Love, Tim |

83 | Freeze-dried Salvation? | John 15:6 | tj57h@cs.com | 88460
”Is salvation like a freeze-dried fruitcake, lasting indefinitely without spoilage or must those who seek for eternal life with God constantly discipline themselves to ensure they are faithful until death? If they must discipline themselves, how do they do that by belief? Is there an expectation that they will be disciplined miraculously or must conscious decisions be made to control their own behavior?” (Peter) Salvation (Christ our life) is an incorruptible seed! I believe incorruptible would mean no spoilage! (Col) Christ is our new life and he leads us by his Spirit and we learn through him, we live and move and have our being in him. God's had is not short that he cannot discipline us, is it? His alive and has the ability to speak and hear. He is a lot more power than us. He disciplines us as sons! Heb 12:6 For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth. 7 If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not? 8 But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons. Jesus Christ IS our salvation. Above statements are directly from scripture, if you have problems finding them I will find them for you if you need. Love, Tim |

84 | Have these verses been fullfilled? | Acts 2:17 | tj57h@cs.com | 89048
James 5:6 Ye have condemned and killed the just; and he doth not resist you. 7 Be patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord. Behold, the husbandman waiteth for the precious fruit of the earth, and hath long patience for it, until he receive the early and latter rain. De 11:14 That I will give you the rain of your land in his due season, the first rain and the latter rain, that thou mayest gather in thy corn, and thy wine, and thine oil. Form these scriptures I believe their will be a latter rain. I believe that there is latter rain (Revival) right before the farmers harvest; I based this though from the scriptures we have in the bible. Unless you believe we are already in it, I see no evidence that it has already occurred and therefore would conclude it is yet to come right before his return. I hoe this has been of help, Love, Tim H. |

89 | You need baptism of the Holy Ghost! | Acts 19:2 | tj57h@cs.com | 88708
These believers were born again, did not have the Baptism and then they received the baptism of the Holy Ghost! Every person born again is baptized into the Spirit. In this scripture these two events happened at different times, as was my experience! Love, Tim Hines |

90 | You need baptism of the Holy Ghost! | Acts 19:2 | tj57h@cs.com | 88715
We are baptized into one Spirit and born again as these men were and then hear about the fullness of the Holy Ghost. I understand you dilemma, I have been there, I found that there is baptism of the Holy Ghost after I was born again just as this scripture states. Love, Tim Hines |

91 | You need baptism of the Holy Ghost! | Acts 19:2 | tj57h@cs.com | 88716
How do you explain this scripture? Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed?" And they said to him, "No, we have not even heard whether there is a Holy Spirit." Acts 19:6 the Holy Spirit came on them, and they began speaking with tongues and prophesying. Certainly the practice of becoming born again and being baptized in the Holy Sprit are not simultaneously practiced, I have been an Apostolic Church were the did, the person received the baptism of the Holy Ghost at the same time they were baptized in water. Ever other Church I have been in practiced either no Holy ghost baptism at all or being born again and water baptism as one event and Baptism in the Holy Ghost as separate events. Biblically speaking I would probably have to agree with you they should be practiced at the same time, but my experience was that they occurred at separate times. Do you speak in tongs, prophesy, or have the gifts of healing, discernment or miracles? I am curious or do you believe these have passed away as some do today. I operate in the gifts and have the Spirits fruits. They have not passed away. Perhaps it is error that many who believe in the baptism of the Holy Ghost practice it separately, my concern is those who believe they have ALL there is of God and do not operate in the Gifts. MY PRAYER FOR YOU IS THAT YOU FIND THE WONDERFUL LIBERTY WE HAVE IN CHRIST JESUS AND THAT HE GIVE UNTO YOU THE SPIRIT OF WISDOM AND REVELATION TO COMPREHEND THE HEIGHT, DEPTH AND WITH OF THE KINGDOM OF GOD! Eph 1:17 My prayer also is that everyone reading this will pray for me to further be revealed the truth from the Spirit of God. I still Love you BradK, Tim Hines |

93 | You need baptism of the Holy Ghost! | Acts 19:2 | tj57h@cs.com | 88729
When I heard about it, about 12 years ago, i knew nothing about it. I started studying it in the bible and concluded it is something I should look into further, at the time we were attending a Baptist Church and in a bible study I bought up the subject. The leader said that his sister go the supposed baptism of the holy ghost and he said if you go looking for a spirit you will find one, implying evil spirit. In my studies I found that Jesus said: Luke 11:9 And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you. 10 For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened. 11 If a son shall ask bread of any of you that is a father, will he give him a stone? Or if he asks a fish, will he for a fish give him a serpent? 12 Or if he shall ask an egg, will he offer him a scorpion? 13 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him? I was quickened by the Spirit to stand on this verse, even though great FEAR was put into my mind about getting possessed by an evil Spirit, The Father will give the Holy Ghost to anyone who asks or seeks, he will not give any thing else, I believed it and that settled it. I went to a full gospel Church and went up when they asked if anyone wanted to receive the Baptism of the Holy Ghost. I was filled completely with the fullness of the Spirit, it is hard to explain but I felt it emotionally and physically and had the overwhelming sense of the presence of the power of God in my body. Tears of joy filled my eyes, I had not a care in the world. At this point in time they taught that you would speak in other tongs, I did not. 3 weeks later I started speaking in tongs and overwhelming urge to speak welled up in my heart and I just spoke what came forth. I still speak in tongs; have operated in the gifts discernment and prophecy mainly. My definition of Baptized in the Holy Ghost: Complete surrender and fullness of the spirit. I don't want to make too big a deal of the felling of being baptized in the Holy Ghost but it is difficult to ignore. I would equate it to totally cleaning out the spiritual plumbing in you heart and soul, fullness of the Spirit completely full and overflowing! My witness and boldness to speak gods words and my ability to hear from God by the Spirit have greatly been enhanced by this experience just as it did for the early Church: Acts 1:15 And in those days Peter stood up in the midst of the disciples, and said, (the number of names together were about an hundred and twenty,) Prior to this Peter was totally humiliated and the Spirit enabled him to speak boldly to the masses. God as my witness I tell you the truth, as I know it. If you are a son seek you will find, the father will not give you any thing but his Holy Spirit! Love, Tim Hines |

Most certainly you have the right to your own opinion and experience. I have stated mine and stand on it. The letter killeth and the Spirit giveth life. I pray for you to come to a greater knowledge of our savior Jesus Christ and I ask that you pray for me also! Love, Tim |

96 | You need baptism of the Holy Ghost! | Acts 19:2 | tj57h@cs.com | 88757
BradK, The letter killeth and the Spirit giveth life, If I intrepret you note properly you precieve me as one weak in faith, 1Cor 4 Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up, 5 Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil; 6 Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth; 7 Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up, I have not put you down I have tried to edify you with my understanding. If I did not meet with such fierce opposition I would believe the cross of Christ had lost its offence. I won't loose any sleep, for I have the peace of God. I will pray for you and I hope you do the same for me. In the future if we talk again I would appreciate leaving out the put downs and intimidation ploys, it has the appearance is anything but a Godly attribute! Love, Tim |

97 | You need baptism of the Holy Ghost! | Acts 19:2 | tj57h@cs.com | 88762
I understand and agree! My testimony contained a very powerful revelation of scripture: Luke 11:9 And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you. Clearly, it is a father and son relationship (Born again) and Jesus is telling us to ask for the Holy Ghost. I try not to make too much of the feelings, one CAN be deceived by them and I believe their are many that believe in the Baptism in the Holy Ghost that have gone to excesses in some areas, but it does not negate the truth. Thank you for you kind and loving words, it was refreshing, unlike many of the responses I have gotten recently. I admire a man who makes his own decisions for himself and does not just go along with their parent’s religion, I am the same way. We have to stand before God it the light we walk in not our parents. Above all we express LOVE, I know YOU know that, currently that is my heart's prayer, to express more of his love and compassion! Let us pray for one another! Love, Tim |

98 | You need baptism of the Holy Ghost! | Acts 19:2 | tj57h@cs.com | 88778
I speak in toungs, have for over 10 years, makes no sense to my rational mind! I have asked God to take it away if it is not of him, and he has not. As the scripture states not all speak in toungs, so one could have the Baptism and not speak in toungs. Like I said I did not speak in toungs immediately. I believe you would manifest one or more of the other gifts though, prophesy, discernment of Spirits, or healings. Have you operated in any of the Gifts? In Acts toungs was generally spoken when they received the Holy Ghost. Would you see any harm in asking God to baptize you in the Holy Ghost or to operate in his Gifts? Just ask and see what happens. Love, Tim Will talk more when I have more time! |

99 | Father give Holy Spirit to them that ask | Acts 19:2 | tj57h@cs.com | 88779
This son is born again in this scripture and The Father wants to give him the Holy Spirit if he will ask. CLEARLY in this example we have stated by Jesus they are 2 separate events. When I heard about it, about 12 years ago, i knew nothing about it. I started studying it in the bible and concluded it is something I should look into further, at the time we were attending a Baptist Church and in a bible study I bought up the subject. How much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him? How do you account for this those of you who think I am wrong? Love, Tim |
