81 | Can the "natural man" desire Christ? | Rev 13:8 | tj57h@cs.com | 88632
Joh 12:32 And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me. As the Gospel is proclaimed all men are drawn, I believe in their minds they hear the truth, and at the same time the enemy is telling them it is a lie, or some excuse, like people will laugh at you or what will your mother think. And they do not give into the drawing of the Holy Spirit. Anytime I have been a similar situation of responding to God through a message similar thoughts come into my mind that try to get me to not respond to the Spirit. Have you had similar thoughts when responding to a particular ministry call, like healing or a call to preach? I think caring what other people might think is a big one. I personally do not care what people thing I care what our Father thinks more than people. Did I answer your question? Love, Tim Hines |

82 | All sin and iniquity for given, forever! | Rom 4:8 | tj57h@cs.com | 88630
The most liberating and Glorious revelation is to know we are free! Our lord has had me in Romans 4 through 8 for 5 years until I finally got it down deep in my heart and NOW I am living in the wonderful liberty, learning to live and move and have my being in a new and living way in Christ. I have seen the error of my ways (Asking God to bless my projects instead of him revealing his and cooperating with him) and am following the Grace of God flowing through my life and it is wonderful!! Self-works are not the way; his works revealed by him are the way! He is risen, he is alive, and he can communicate! Imagine that God speaking to his people! Steve, I do not know were your revelation of Romans 4-8 is but I pray that the Spirit of Wisdom and Revelation show you the height and width and breadth of his wonderful Grace and righteousness! Keep up the good work of encouraging the brethren! Proclaim his wonderful news to all! Rom 4: 7 Saying, Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven, and whose sins are covered. 8 Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin. This is us my brother!!!! ! Halleluiah!!! Praise God!!! Love, Tim Hines |

83 | Justification by works impedes grace | Gal 5:4 | tj57h@cs.com | 88598
Rom 4: 2 For if Abraham were justified by works, As if works could put him in RIGHT STANDING with God, they cannot. JUSTIFIED equals RIGHTSTANDING equals RIGHTIOESNESS equals NOT UNDER CONDEMNATION OF THE LAW equals FREE FROM SIN. ROMANS 4:6 Even as David also describeth the blessedness of the man, unto whom God imputeth righteousness (RIGHT STANDING WITH GOD) without works (Adhering to an outward written code instead of walking by the Spirit in a New and living way, by CHRIST)7 Saying, Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven, and whose sins are covered. 8 Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin. Grace is the unmerited favor of God, not by works but by faith. Eph 2:8 For by grace (un-worked for favor) are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves (Not by works, but by faith): it is the gift (given and kept not by works but faith) of God: 9 Not of works, lest any man should boast. I believe many who preach salvation and walking in the Spirit by WORKS believe their WORKS are better than most. IF ANYONE BELIEVES WORKS SAVES HIM OR HER, THEY ARE NOT BORN AGAIN! ONLY BY BELIEVEING IN THE BLOOD OF JESUS PAYING THE PRICE OF OUR SIN ARE WE SAVED! We do works of Righteousness because we are saved by faith, not to be saved. I hope this has clarified the definitions of Justification and Grace. Love, Tim Hines |

84 | Imputed Righteousness | Rom 4:6 | tj57h@cs.com | 88571
"Because I am not righteous" Who wrote that? If you believe you are righteous, you are. Your outworking of Christ might fall short of the Righteous acts you see in Christ’s and Paul’s writings, but the important thing is YOU ARE IN RIGHTSTANDING WITH GOD FROM HIS POINT OF VIEW, THIS ENABLES YOU TO HAVE THE LIBERTY TO LIVE CHRIST AND NOT TO FALL UNDER THE CONDEMNATION OF SIN OR THE LAW, YOU HAVE THE FREEDOM AND LIBERTY TO LIVE A RIGHTEOUS LIFE! Romans 4:2 For if Abraham were justified by works, he hath whereof to glory; but not before God. 3 For what saith the scripture? Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness. 4 Now to him that worketh is the reward not reckoned of grace, but of debt. 5 But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness. 6 Even as David also describeth the blessedness of the man, unto whom God imputeth righteousness without works, 7 Saying, Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven, and whose sins are covered. 8 Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin. 89 | Was the serpent being worshipped? | Num 21:8 | tj57h@cs.com | 88564
I believe the BRAZEN serpent was a type of Christ. Somehow it was like the opposite. Try to receive the light from these scriptures below: John 3:14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up: Numbers 21:4 And they journeyed from mount Hor by the way of the Red sea, to compass the land of Edom: and the soul of the people was much discouraged F51 because of the way. 5 And the people spake against God, and against Moses, Wherefore have ye brought us up out of Egypt to die in the wilderness? for there is no bread, neither is there any water; and our soul loatheth this light bread. 6 And the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died. 7 Therefore the people came to Moses, and said, We have sinned, for we have spoken against the LORD, and against thee; pray unto the LORD, that he take away the serpents from us. And Moses prayed for the people. 8 And the LORD said unto Moses, Make thee a fiery serpent, and set it upon a pole: and it shall come to pass, that every one that is bitten, when he looketh upon it, shall live. 9 And Moses made a serpent of brass, and put it upon a pole, and it came to pass, that if a serpent had bitten any man, when he beheld the serpent of brass, he lived. As we lift up Jesus Christ from the earth, people look at him and are healed. People of this world including believers are looking at their problems and thereby being devoured and killed by snakes (problems of this world), if they will look to Jesus high and lifted up they will be healed. Look to Jesus not the problems of this world. (Poisonous snakes) Love, Tim Hines |

93 | THE MOST POWERFUL VERSE IN EVANGELISM! | John 12:32 | tj57h@cs.com | 88555
Joh 12:32 And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me. As we lift up Jesus Christ on this earth all those around us and ourselves are drawn unto him. To be raised to life one must hear the Gospel, be born again, and that requires belief in the heart and confession with the mouth the Lord Jesus. Rom 10: 8- 10. THIS IS THE MOST POWERFUL VERSE IN EVANGELISM AND ENCORAGEMENT IN THE BIBLE IN MY OPINION; WE NEED TO SPEND MORE TIME LIFTING UP JESUS AND HIS NAME! Love, Tim Hines |

96 | Justification by works impedes grace | Gal 5:4 | tj57h@cs.com | 88527
Gal 5:4 Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace. KJV I believe most people have not studied their bibles and walked in the Spirit enough to understand what this scripture is saying. I believe there are many misunderstanding about “being justified by the law: and “Fallen from grace”. I will try to shed some light on it! Being justified by LAW is justification by works, mainly walking before God by adhering to outward ruses and regulations. Like the 10 commandments (I am by no means saying go out an break the 10 commandments, I am saying that we are not walking by an outward code or a set of rules, we have a new life and we are to walk in it.) and taste not touch not and handle not: Col 2:20 Wherefore if ye be dead with Christ from the rudiments F12 of the world, why, as though living in the world, are ye subject to ordinances, 21 (Touch not; taste not; handle not; 22 Which all are to perish with the using;) after the commandments and doctrines of men? 23 Which things have indeed a shew of wisdom in will worship, and humility, and neglecting F13 of the body; not in any honour to the satisfying of the flesh. Most of our traditional religions of the day practice some form of “Works” based theology. It is all right if the Spirit has led you into wearing only dresses, no makeup and beards, but if you look down on your brothers and sisters in condemnation because they do not have that revelation. That is not LOVE it is called mans religion and if you practice it is also called SIN. It is “works” based theology. It is faith that saves not works. Rom 4: 2 For if Abraham were justified by works, he hath whereof to glory; but not before God. 8 Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin Many in America and in the world practice “saved by grace kept saved by works. It is clearly written in Romans 4 that we are justified by faith not works. If it were by works then it would be something owed to you and it would not be a gift from God. Romans 4 again. So a believer is walking by works INSTED of in faith of Christ, living and moving and having his being in Christ. He thinks works is justifying him. (Justified by the LAW is works based theology, do this or go to hell. This may have been fine for were the Jews were at the time, but not for the New Testament believer) HE HAS FALLEN FROM GRACE! A lot of believers interpret this statement to mean that they lost their salvation; it is my understanding that they have shut the valve off of Grace flowing freely through their lives, stifled the gifts and fruits from reaching maturity. Grace works as we walk in it. Any comments? Love, Tim |

98 | Faith and Works: Paul vs. James | Rom 4:3 | tj57h@cs.com | 88524
Paul and James actually complement each other. Paul says righteousness is imputed to us by faith, Jams says because I am justified by faith I do works of righteousness. We do not do works to be justified before God; we are already justified to God by faith, if we believe. Since we live and move and have our being in Christ, we do works of righteousness. If we try to attain right standing with God by works, Gal 5:4 Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace. I do not believe this means people who seek to be justified by works are lost and going to hell, unless that is how they believe they believe they are saved initially, by works. Many people preach saved by grace kept saved by works, if a person believes this I believe this scripture says the Grace of God has little or no manifestation in you current walk in this life. Gal 5:4. Any comments? Love Tim |

99 | YOU NEVER ANSWERED THE QUESTION | 1 Cor 6:9 | tj57h@cs.com | 88481
This adventure has started over 2 months ago when I received a revelation to go into 45 days of prayer (Bombing) the 45 days of prayer was like the Kuwait war 45 days of bombing and then the ground war lasted less than 100 hours, we just collected the prisoners. The 45 days of prayer was rather interesting the enemy put up quite a fight, my wife went into exploratory surgery for possible cancer or leukemia and everything turned out negative, PRAISE GOD! The usual financial opportunities and work issues occurred and our Lord showed himself STRONG! I was 3 days into the ground war before I knew and the Spirit said to me "Go and do my will!" From that day until now I have been taking what the Grace of God has given me and this forum is one of them. I am sharpening the sword of the Spirit. It has been miraculous seeing the Grace of God working and me walking in it. I see his mighty power working in every area of my life. I printed off the material that you suggested from the web sites and will read them. I will tell you I do not hold much stock in religious doctrines of Calvinism and armenisem (However it is spelled). It’s like being a Republican or Democrat. As soon as you tell someone what you are, they got you all figured out and pigeon holed. My understanding of God and his ways has come by divine revelation through experiencing him, not by man. I am aware of the fact I have areas that need further refining, because we look into the glass darkly and need the perspectives of other believers to further enhance our Spiritual understanding. (Iron sharpens iron, and it’s not always comfortable.)To hear from God we have to be listening. He is speaking to both/all of us, the question is are we listening or are we blinded by our religion and traditions? I have few, I came from a very mild Church upbringing and learned little about the things of God until about 10 years ago and now I am 45. I believe I am just now leaving the toddler stage and moving on to greater maturity and it seems to be at a very rapid rate. I appreciate your grace and love for hearing me out, I realize I have a very bold expression of Christ and many times can be easily misunderstood. You appear to be a humble enough man see past potential human elements and get to the truth. I am looking forward to talking to you further! Love Tim P. S. I am aware of your flavor of Christianity and I have not pigeon holed you! I believe there are many Catholics that are saved! HA just a little religious humor! I prefer to remain non-pigeonholed, therefore where I attend shall remain unspoken at this time. |
