AMPLIFIED 2015 | Galatians 5:4 You have been severed from Christ, if you seek to be justified [that is, declared free of the guilt of sin and its penalty, and placed in right standing with God] through the Law; you have fallen from grace [for you have lost your grasp on God's unmerited favor and blessing]. |
Subject: Justification by works impedes grace |
Bible Note: Gal 5:4 Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace. KJV I believe most people have not studied their bibles and walked in the Spirit enough to understand what this scripture is saying. I believe there are many misunderstanding about “being justified by the law: and “Fallen from grace”. I will try to shed some light on it! Being justified by LAW is justification by works, mainly walking before God by adhering to outward ruses and regulations. Like the 10 commandments (I am by no means saying go out an break the 10 commandments, I am saying that we are not walking by an outward code or a set of rules, we have a new life and we are to walk in it.) and taste not touch not and handle not: Col 2:20 Wherefore if ye be dead with Christ from the rudiments F12 of the world, why, as though living in the world, are ye subject to ordinances, 21 (Touch not; taste not; handle not; 22 Which all are to perish with the using;) after the commandments and doctrines of men? 23 Which things have indeed a shew of wisdom in will worship, and humility, and neglecting F13 of the body; not in any honour to the satisfying of the flesh. Most of our traditional religions of the day practice some form of “Works” based theology. It is all right if the Spirit has led you into wearing only dresses, no makeup and beards, but if you look down on your brothers and sisters in condemnation because they do not have that revelation. That is not LOVE it is called mans religion and if you practice it is also called SIN. It is “works” based theology. It is faith that saves not works. Rom 4: 2 For if Abraham were justified by works, he hath whereof to glory; but not before God. 3 For what saith the scripture? Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness. 4 Now to him that worketh is the reward not reckoned of grace, but of debt. 5 But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness. 6 Even as David also describeth the blessedness of the man, unto whom God imputeth righteousness without works, 7 Saying, Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven, and whose sins are covered. 8 Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin Many in America and in the world practice “saved by grace kept saved by works. It is clearly written in Romans 4 that we are justified by faith not works. If it were by works then it would be something owed to you and it would not be a gift from God. Romans 4 again. So a believer is walking by works INSTED of in faith of Christ, living and moving and having his being in Christ. He thinks works is justifying him. (Justified by the LAW is works based theology, do this or go to hell. This may have been fine for were the Jews were at the time, but not for the New Testament believer) HE HAS FALLEN FROM GRACE! A lot of believers interpret this statement to mean that they lost their salvation; it is my understanding that they have shut the valve off of Grace flowing freely through their lives, stifled the gifts and fruits from reaching maturity. Grace works as we walk in it. Any comments? Love, Tim |
