81 | Why do they kill Stephen but said unlawf | Acts | InGodITrust | 187942
Yowege, The trial of Jesus took place during a Sabbath, the stoning of Stephen was (most likely) not during a Sabbath. That may be only part of the scenerio but it's what comes to mind. This was in accord with Lev. 24:14. However, they were required to get the Romans approval (it's doubtful they did) and may have given him "a mock trial." God's speed. InGodITrust |

82 | love wanderful | 2 Sam 1:26 | InGodITrust | 187930
Qhycrme1, Are you familiar with the relationship between David and Jonathan? Jonathan was King Saul's son and had stuck by David while his father King Saul was out to kill David. Jonathn risked his own life time after time by his loyal love for David. There was never anything remotely inappropriate about their relationship. This is in no way a down cast upon women. It was simply a statement that tried to explain David's tremendous respect and love for all that Jonathan had done. You see, normally, Jonathan would have been in line for the throne, but God had appointed David as the next King. Just think about what kind of man Jonathan must have been by being loyal to whom God appointed! Does this answer your question? In our Lord, InGodITrust |

83 | Abraham at 134 | Genesis | InGodITrust | 187922
chach, I guess, the obvious, if he could not father children through his first 99 plus years, then it was obviously a miracle of God that at 100 he could. The fact that he went on to father other children is not as relivant (I suppose). There are a multitude of things God chose not to include in Holy Writ. The story God wanted recorded is Abraham's faith and life. The answer to prayer in fathering Isaac, the lineage of Isaac and history of the Jewish nation. I agree it is also amazing that Abraham continued to father other children but the Biblical significance seemed unimportant to be included in Biblical history. Best answer I have at the moment.... 84 | Abraham a father at 134 | Genesis | InGodITrust | 187920
chach, Isaac was heir to the promice, in that the Jewish nation would come through Abraham in his son Isaac. I would assume any other children he had would be in the same category as Ishmael. This would put them "outside of" God's chosen people the Jews. They would then be considered "gentiles" and would not be in the lineage of Israel, thus, outside of God's chosen people. So, the Bible would have no reason to continue their history or significance. Anyone else have a better explaination as this is all I can come up with? Seeking to serve Him, InGodITrust |

85 | Revalation 7:1-3 what is the seal? | Revelation | InGodITrust | 187916
wondergirly, I havn't been able to find anything that describes what the seal is. So, I will assume it is "a spiritual mark" that God Himself sets upon some one. I don't think it is similar to "the mark of the beast," as that may be a visable mark or something perhaps "implanted." Maybe someone else out there knows of a better answer. God Bless, InGodITrust |
