21 | When is a child guilty of sin? | Bible general Archive 3 | InGodITrust | 191072
Wolfcreek, God has made all things "clean." Ask the apostle Peter. Nothing but nothing can keep you from going to Heaven if you are indeed a child of God and have trusted Christ as Savior. The second you and I were born we are accountable for our sins. The teaching on the "age of accountability" is completely unfounded in Scriptures and has no basis whatever. InGodITrust |

22 | Is it wrong to have pre-martial sex? | Bible general Archive 3 | InGodITrust | 191070
Wolfcreek, It might be better to ask one question at a time. Space 'and time' to answer all these questions at the same time would be prohibitive. #1 Yes it is unproductive to watch or read withcraft. #2 The New Testament teaches that "everything we have belongs to God." How much you actually give depends on your heart. Ten percent in my opinion is a good place to start. #3 No, never date an unbeliever or one who does not believe that Jesus Christ and Him alone is the only way to God the Father. #4 It is not necessary to attend all services. They are meant to meet all the needs and time restrains of every one. How much you attend is up to you. How much of God do you want to learn about? #4 Absolutely it is wrong and very damaging with irreversable consequences to have pre-martial sex. In God's eyes everyone you go to bed with is Biblically your spouse. How many wives do you want? The marriage bed is very very sacred to God and is reserved for your life long partner until you or they pass on into eternity. Hope this helps. If you have specific questions I would suggest you ask them one at a time. InGodITrust |

23 | Does anyone have any notes on Isa 44:4? | Is 44:4 | InGodITrust | 190914
Joanna, Here's what I found on the "Easton's Bible Dictionary web site: Isaiah 44:4 Cross References XREF: Leviticus 23:40 'Now on the first day you shall take for yourselves the foliage of beautiful trees, palm branches and boughs of leafy trees and willows of the brook, and you shall rejoice before the LORD your God for seven days. Job 40:22 "The lotus plants cover him with shade; The willows of the brook surround him. (NASB ©1995) Commentaries and Concordances GSB: 44:4 And they shall spring up as among the grass, as willows by the water courses. (d) That is, your children and posterity will increase wonderfully after their deliverance from Babylon. MHC: 44:1-8 Israel is here called Jeshurun, which means the upright one. Such only are Israelites indeed, in whom is no guile. Those that serve God he will own. He will help them over difficulties, and in their services. Water is the emblem of the Holy Spirit; as water refreshes, cleanses, and makes the earth fruitful, so do his influences the soul. This gift of the Holy Ghost is the great blessing, the plentiful pouring out of which God kept for the latter days. Where God gives his Spirit, he will give all other blessings. Hereby shall be a great increase of the church; thus it shall be spread to distant places. Was there any other Rock, or Protector, that could defend them? None besides could foretell these things to come, of which God by his prophets gave notice. All was set in order in the Divine predictions, as well as in the Divine purposes. Could any other have done so? Who can compare with Israel's Redeemer and King? InGodITrust |

25 | Searching for the truth | John | InGodITrust | 190020
Fytrobert, Good question..... Jesus is not requiring a specfic name but rather "a specific acknowledgement." In order to have reseptive prayers basically, there are two requirments. One, what John 14:14 is seeking is "do you believe Jesus is the Son of God, the One and only?" And the One and only direct link to God the Father? Two, "Whatever we ask must be according to His will and purpose, not necessarily ours." Question answered? InGodITrust |

26 | Greek Question in Romans | Rom 7:25 | InGodITrust | 189899
rzaac, I too am in Colorado, Fremont County to be exact. Welcome to the forum. I have not found a suitable web site to aid one with the Greek, although I have not looked that hard. Let me give you what help I can. Apa, Strongs 686 is an inferential particle. inference. 1. conclusion, a conclusion drawn from evidence or reasoning 2. logic reasoning process, the process of reasoning from a premise to a conclusion 3. implication, something that is implied Apa means, "Then or therefore, and indicating an interrogative." interrogative, adj. 1. questioning, questioning or seeming to question somebody or something 2. grammar used to ask a question, consisting of or used in asking a question "Ouv" Strong's 3767 is a conjuction. conjunction (plural conjunctions) 1. combining of several things, the joining together or combining of two or more things 2. simultaneous occurrence, a simultaneous occurrence of events or circumstances 3. grammar connecting word, a word that is used to link sentences, clauses, phrases, or words, for example, “and,” “but,” or “if." So, not sure exactly how to answer your question? To find another example where "apa ouv" is used would require that you deposit 50.00 "finders fee!" Just kidding, but it would entale a lot of time. The last question is that "Paul did not answer his question in verse 24. Verse 25 is the answer to his question,i.e. "Wretched man that I am! Who will set me free from the body of this death?" The answer, verse 25: Thanks be to God (the answer) through Jesus Christ our Lord! So then,(apa ouv;I have concluded that this is indeed the answer)"On the one hand I myself with my mind am serving the law of God, but on the other, with my flesh the law of sin." This is the contrast between our new man in Christ and the old man of the flesh. God has left us with this constant struggle between the flesh and the spirit. Why? I have asked myself this a thousand times. The answer; so that we too will share the reward and (partial) glory with Christ Jesus who Himself came to earth to deliver (eventually in our new body)us from the power of sin. Hope this helps, let us know. InGodITrust |

27 | "Rebuilt Temple" | 2 Thess 2:4 | InGodITrust | 189763
dhill1, That indeed is the "million dollar question!" Only speculation; either near or next to it (which I seriously doubt) or an earth quake could destroy the Dome of the Rock? Guarentee you one thing, God will see to it.... War? who knows but the Lord......as it is prophesied, "it will indeed take place." God bless ya, InGodITrust |

29 | What stands in the Holy place, today? | 2 Thess 2:4 | InGodITrust | 189757
dhill1, The holy place refers to the "rebuilt Temple" in Jerusalem yet to be constructed. This will happen just before or during the tribulation period. The plans to rebuild are well under way by Israel, as I understand it, awaiting God's time table. Question answered? InGodITrust |

30 | rewards for works | 1 Cor 13:1 | InGodITrust | 189751
Try God 1st, Well I don't know about you, but I hope to leave earthly works here! All kidding aside "it's not what you do in life, it is why and how you do it." If what you and I do is not done in-love and for the right motive and the right reason "all is vain and striving after the wind." Study 1 Corinthins 13, all of it. Then go to Philippians 2, then Matthew 6:33 "seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousnes.." Matthew 22:36-40 making sure you love your neighbor with all the same fervor and commitment that you claim to have for loving God with all your heart, soul, and mind. That oughta get ya started, right? InGodITrust |

31 | More on submissiveness | Eph 5:22 | InGodITrust | 189749
eileen8, As much as is possible, submission in the New Testament refers to those "equally yoked." To try to answer your question would be too vague and would not address the problem you mentioned earlier. Submission to a non believing spouse (I assume since you said he is alcoholic) would entale all scriptures except where he would ask or expect you to violate Biblical principals. Those of course would be too involved to answer here. If you can please be more specific. On the Forum we do not generally give personal advise as this is highly unwise without knowing all the facts. Then again you would get such a wide range of answers you'd be more confused than ever. Kind of like my many answers to tonights questions............!!! God's grace to you eileen8 InGodITrust |

32 | OT men how did they get saved? | OT general | InGodITrust | 189746
Greetings lindah, By believing in the One true God, the One and only. Not necessarily by keeping all the Torah, (Old Testament Law) The law cannot and never has saved anyone. By true belief in Jehovah God, they went to their graves and when Jesus died on the cross He desended into Sheol testifying to them that He was indeed the Messiah. They then assended with Him into the Heaven where God the Father resides. Before the cross, there was two places of the departed dead. One was Abraham's bosom the other Hades. Remember the story of the rich man and Lazarus? Luke 16:19; if not look it up. Gotta go, InGodITrust |

33 | True Sabbath | Matt 28:1 | InGodITrust | 189744
Hello seeking_truth, Yes, the Sabbath is from Friday at 6pm until Saturday at 6pm. The Messianic Jews still feel it necessary to honor the Lord's Day as Saturday. Mainly, this is because of tradition and the fact it is "a Jewish law" from the Old Testament as they are the chosen Nation. However, New Testament Christians began meeting on the "first day of the week" in honor of Christ's resurection. Okeedookie........? InGodITrust |

34 | The APOCALYPSE CODE. | Bible general Archive 3 | InGodITrust | 189742
Hello again justme, Guess I am here tonight, been busy for a while. My opinion, OK, here goes. Hank Hanegraaff has many issues of which I thoroughly disagree. Frankly, I would not use his writings for toilet paper. He has gone against the grain, thrown out dispensationalism (the Biblically balanced one that is) Been extremely critical (over and above) the Pentecostals (of which I am not one but has thrown them all in the rubbish heap.) While many Pentecostals hold to scriptures that are out of balance they are wonderful and God fearing folks. Enough said, I know I am in a lot of trouble now as I have "stuck my neck way out tonight." God bless ya one and all, InGodITrust |

35 | Why the NKJV over the NASB ? | Bible general Archive 3 | InGodITrust | 189740
Hay there justme, Very good question, one of which I am not at all shy about answering. Tradition, tradition, tradition!!! I have studied Greek for some years now. When I first started studying it I notices that my KJV had many adjectives and prepositions "wrong." I am told, been years, that King James was very fond of the Catholic Priestly system and the Pope's ultimate authority over the people. If you study history King James was anything but a nice guy! I have read that the scholars who translated the KJV were well aware of this issue. Personally I have confirmed that the priesthood of the believer was specifically watered down to appease the King. Frankly I believe this as the prepostions preceeding the priestly issues (and numerous others as well, by my own personal experience) were changed to lesson the Biblical fact of our individual priesthood. The NASB and the AMP were specifically translated to be as accurate to the Greek as possible. Through many many Greek studies I have found very few times were the Lockman Foundation could have done a better job. Of all the Greek scholars I know "they all use the NASB and the AMP. Now, the controversy has really got going as there undoubtably will been numerous responses to my post. Good for you, the NASB and the AMP, although not as popular are the very best translations as far as popularity goes. I have never understood, nor will I ever, why anyone would chose to use a translation that does not give "the exact thought (as much as possible)to the original languages. Greek is not readily translatable into English nor is any other language. The very reason English speakers are so ignorant about many Biblical issues is the language barrier and the enormous depth of the Greek. God bless ya........ InGodITrust |

36 | Help for Christian Wife of Alchoholic | 1 Cor 16:14 | InGodITrust | 189733
Dear eileen8, God richly bless you, I can only imagine what you are going through. My first response is "love knows no bounds, has no limits, for Christ's sake forgives and forgives. However, I do not know all you are going through. There may be a Christian web site but it has been my experience that so much advise is not Biblical. I know this sounds self serving but please see my personal profile. I have just published a book on Agape-Love which will answer many of your questions. Tough love must at all times be Biblically tough love. If it is unbearable and you feel God is absolutely telling you so then a conditional seperation could be the answer. Never lock the door nor turn out the light. If you must give him an ultimatum then make sure he understands "the decision is up to him." He can come back or you will return "it's up to him." Always leave the door open and the light on. Hope this helps. God grant you the wisdom and strength to see it through. Remember love, Biblical love, always hopes the best, seeks the best, and anxiously looks for a restoration, no matter what. InGodITrust |
