You're absolutely right, Hank. And I, for one, did go off on a tangent there. Many apologies. blessings cheri |

722 | Are there any scriptures for the rapture | 2 Pet 3:10 | skccab | 188240
MRoyal, Nor has anyone been able to answer the questions I posted earlier that are left unanswered if the "rapture" or catching away takes place after the tribulation. Namely: 1 - Rev. 4, from this point on, the church is not seen as being on earth. Where are we? 2 - Rev. 19:9, Who, if not the church, is at the Marriage Supper of the Lamb? 3 - Rev. 19:14, Who, if not the resurrected dead in Christ and the living glorified saints, are the armies that return to earth with Christ? 4 - Rev. 20:7-8, Who is deceived, if before the millennium, all are caught away (resurrected or glorified)? blessings cheri |

723 | Can the devil tune in to our thoughts? | Bible general Archive 3 | skccab | 188235
Hi BradK, To that, I'm sorry I didn't make clear, is like IGIT, just an observation. But when I think about it, we humans rarely keep anything to ourselves - so they probably do the "homing in" because we talk about it. Mt. 4 - the tempter said... Then Jesus said... Mt. 9:28-30 Jesus said unto them, believe ye that I am able to do this? They said unto him yes 29Then touched he their eyes saying, According to your faith be it unto you 30And their eyes were opened; Mt. 21:21 ...but also if ys shall say unto that mountain... So I guess, it's not our thoughts and feelings at all, it's our words they react on. You think? blessings cheri |

Hi InGodITrust I just love writing that name!! I don't have scripture to back me, but most everyone will know what I'm referring to. God said...God said... Later in Gen. when God and the angels visited Abraham and Sarah, the angels spoke. The angels that came to Lot spoke. Lucifer stands before God and accuses Job. And all the way to the back of our Book - angels speak to John. So I think spirit beings, just like human beings, have mouths, vocal chords. But I do completely agree with you that they can influence our thoughts and feelings and home right in on them to their (evil/good) benefit. blessings cheri |

Hi Mr John, I'm very happy to see I'm not the only one who clicks on the wrong line. Thought I'd invented that! I like yours and MR's idea, verse (whole thought), chapter, book and following references in the thought. Stay with what God says and one will be OK. blessings cheri |

727 | Are there any scriptures for the rapture | 2 Pet 3:10 | skccab | 188183
Thank you, Edwin, I enjoyed your post as well. It's strange how some things are so clear and others can be so murky. But one thing is very clear - 1Co 2:9 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. I can barely wait!! Can you? blessings cheri |

728 | Is a thought from God or satan ? | Prov 16:3 | skccab | 188177
Sorry, I forgot the Scripture you wanted. Your own mind: Rom. 7:15-25 The devil: Gen. 3:1-7; Mt. 4:3, 5-6, 8-9 God: 1 Cor. 2:16 just to get you started. |

729 | Is a thought from God or satan ? | Prov 16:3 | skccab | 188176
Hi Fred, What Doc said is very true. Once you are aware of what Scripture says, it's not so difficult. But I thought I might could help add a little down-to-earth counsel - at least, this helps me sometimes: Your own mind: if I find myself rationalizing that it's not completely off the Word of God, kind of on the Word - more prayer time and searching of the Scripture is needed. The devil: when it's just slightly off the Word, if I've been in prayer and searching the Word but I can't see Jesus or Paul or any of the apostles doing it, it might be best to let the idea go. (My own spirit won't be comfortable with the go-ahead.) God: It's right on the Word, I can easily see Jesus or any Spirit-filled person doing the thing in question. (And the Spirit witnesses with my own spirit that it's a godly thing to do.) If I really can't figure it out, I'll ask another believer or a Pastor to pray with me about the thing - that's what the brothers and sisters in the Lord are all about. Upholding and encouraging and exhorting the brethren. Hope this helps cheri |

730 | Why does Jesus come as a thief? | 2 Pet 3:10 | skccab | 188154
CDBJ, Hi again. I know our salvation doesn't hang on whether we get the timeline right or not. But Revelation had to have been included by the Lord for more than just curiosity and entertainment. I just begin to think a particular scenario works, then some other comes along that seems to work a bit too. Or do you think that's as it should be? just this close but no closer? |

731 | Why does Jesus come as a thief? | 2 Pet 3:10 | skccab | 188153
CDBJ, Thank you for responding. Ok, I had forgotten them, but aren't they sealed for protection because they will preach the gospel? How can they preach that which they don't believe? So they must become believers, if not before the sealing, then afterward. And if they become believers, wouldn't they also be a part of the catching away? So that would still leave no one to procreate a people that could be deceived in the last "season." I'm really trying to figure this one out. cheri |

732 | Why does Jesus come as a thief? | 2 Pet 3:10 | skccab | 188151
Greetings, CDBJ, I just read your note, it leaves a question or two for me: 1 - Are we talking about the end of the tribulation? 2 - If so, and all who are caught away alive (and who have died in Christ) at this time are changed (glorified 1Cor. 15) - then who is going to be deceived when Satan is loosed for a season at the end of the millenium (certainly not glorified saints)? There is no ordinary human being to have children during this period if all the living and dead in Christ are glorified after the tribulation and before the millenium . I always figured it would be the people born (to those who believed and survived the tribulation) during the millenium that get deceived during that last "season" that the devil is loosed. I'm not trying to be argumentative, but you didn't cover that part, or am I totally off in that area? blessings cheri |

Hi Mark, I downloaded a few of those seminars, only had time to listen to (most) of one of them, but I liked him - he made me laugh and think. It's always a good thing when someone can get both the tickle bone and the brain working. blessings cheri |

Thanks Mark, I'll check out the link you gave, never heard of the fellow though. I really don't lean one way or the other on that particular theory - there are alot of questions about geology and such. Guess we'll understand it all by and by :). And won't it be neat hearing about it all from the Master Himself? blessings cheri |

736 | Who is he who restrains?ebrain. | 2 Thess 2:7 | skccab | 188043
Yes, Searcher, I believe He has given us His Name and His authority to use in prayer (see also Mt. 28:18-20).
737 | significance of 4 requests specifically | Ex 12:11 | skccab | 188031
Hi Jellybean and InGod, In Ex. 11:8 the Lord thru Moses says: And all these thy servants shall come down unto me, and bow down themselves unto me, saying, Get thee out, and all the people that follow thee: and after that I will go out. And he went out from Pharaoh in a great anger. It sounds like the Israelites would be "sent" out (to put it kindly) after the angel of death had gone thru the land, and that's why they were told to eat this first passover dressed ready to be on the move quickly. any other thoughts? blessings cheri |

hi InGod, Thank you for your note. But it's not just not wanting His Church here when all the bad stuff is going on, it's because we, the Church, in Jesus' Name have authority over the workings of evil. We see something going on in government that shouldn't be, there's no devil strong enough to withstand the prayers of the faithful as we stand together in agreement in God's Word and in prayer and intercession. The devil doesn't have a prayer :) nor have a leg to stand on. Sooooo we gotta be gone for all that to begin to take place. You think? blessings cheri |

740 | Who is he who restrains?ebrain. | 2 Thess 2:7 | skccab | 188022
Hi all I agree with lionheart, Mark, and InGodITrust that it is the Church and the Holy Ghost that is removed. Without true believers standing together holding up shields of corporate faith, there is nothing to hold back the evil that is all around us. (While we are here the battle is great, but evil can only win small skirmishes.) And there will be a short period where there are no believers, save the 144,000. Whether the Holy Spirit is once again available to any believer (and I believe that He is or will be) or only to the 144,000 and the 2 witnesses is a whole other discussion. Just my 2cents worth blessings cheri |
