Dearest Hank, Well God has done it again!! Used you and your reply to someone else on something totally off the wall from where I was at to speak to me regarding where I'm at. People personally around you must truely be blessed. Keep that fire burning - we here on SBF need the little sparks that fly off!! :-) Thank you Cheri |

Morning Doc, Happy 4th!! Thanks. I was mostly ruminating about the Ezek temple. There's too much detail in it to just skim over it, and it's right after all the other end times prophecies - it has to mean something. I'll just wait - the Lord Himself will show me eventually (either in the Spirit or in person). :-) Thanks again cheri |

Hi Doc, Sorry so late getting back to you, I work the late shift. I have no problem concerning the sacrifices to do with sins and atonement. And I don't stand firmly here either - but the thanksgiving, heave, drink, and voluntary offerings (to name a few) were said to be a sweet-savor to God. If they were re-instated would they not again be such? We're told He is the same yesterday, today and forever. That's my question concerning the Ezek. temple passages. Still learning Cheri |

Yes, Mark, It does. That's kinda what I was thinking. And I'm also thinking that He's already gathering together the "fathers" who will raise the generation to do this. Cheri |

Hi RC, Thank you for your reply, but I must disagree for the most part. Judiasm as a "religion" has indeed come full circle - but as a nationality and a heritage, I must disagree. Matt. 5:17 Jesus says He has come not to abolish the Law or the Prophets but to fulfil them. And if as a nationality and a heritage it has been ended then just what are we as Christians grafted into? Re-read your Torah (and you'll also find it in the Haftorah). Too many times the word(s) "forever" and "from generation to generation" are used to ignore them (or to try to re-write them into something else). I am a Gentile, but I would be very sad to see the end of God's Chosen People into which I have been grafted and adopted and given the physical and spiritual promises. (As for the temple - I am still confused concerning the Ezek. temple chapters, just what those chapters represent. I would love for someone to explain those to me.) :-) Cheri |

HI Doc, Ok, thanks for the verse. I'm under some strong pain meds for last few days and I just couldn't find the will to force my eyes to look it up. Thank you for explaining it to me. :-) Cheri |

When did God end Judaism? Are you speaking of Judaism as religion, heritage or nationality?

Hi, Doc, In Exodus when God gave directions for the tabernacle, didn't He say to Moses to take specific persons and He would put His Spirit in them to do the work that was needed? Just a thought cheri |

670 | Why the NKJV over the NASB ? | Bible general Archive 3 | skccab | 190153
Hank, You're funny, you make me laugh. I'm glad to hear your Books are so well behaved. My major problem is that I take mine with me EVERYWHERE, and my purse is only so big :-). My new NASB is bigger than KJV and has sneaked out of my purse several times now (not nearly as well-behaved as yours!). Love ya Hank! Cheri |

Thanks Hank, I had already gotten it when I wrote the note before. But I'm not disappointed, it's good. Still can't put the old KJV aside though :-). His Word is always good. cheri |

672 | Why the NKJV over the NASB ? | Bible general Archive 3 | skccab | 190117
God's morning to you Hank, I'm right with you. I love the KJV, it just has such power in the way it reads. I have just decided to trust all the SBF's opinions about the NASB and put alot of hard earned money into one. I'm praying I won't be disappointed, but I keep going back to my KJV! I just can't shelf it. Blessings Cheri |

673 | How was God YHWH called in prayer? | Matt 6:9 | skccab | 190094
Yes, Kalos, I didn't even use His name YHWH as that had already been covered. I simply provided some attribute/names as possibilities. |

Hi Elohim7, Just to add to what Hank said (which was a great explanation). When you watch some programs or read some articles you might see BCE - this stands for Before the Common Era (which is also BC). This used to confuse me, so thought I'd mention it. Blessings Cheri |

Doc, Let me put my thank-you in there with all the others. It took me several readings for it all to sink in. Deep, profound ideas tend to trickle in slowly nowadays :-). Keep them coming!! Stand in His Grace and Blessings cheri |

679 | OT reference like Matthew 6:1-4 ? | Matt 6:1 | skccab | 189309
Hi all This is the closest I could find: Deu 15:10 Thou shalt surely give him, and thine heart shall not be grieved when thou givest unto him: because that for this thing the LORD thy God shall bless thee in all thy works, and in all that thou puttest thine hand unto. Deu 15:11 For the poor shall never cease out of the land: therefore I command thee, saying, Thou shalt open thine hand wide unto thy brother, to thy poor, and to thy needy, in thy land. Cheri |
