641 | the sin that does not lead to death is ? | 1 John 5:16 | CDBJ | 136909
Greetings yondering and welcome to the forum. What translation are you using that says eternal death? 1 John 5:16 (KJV) If any man see his brother sin a sin which is not unto death, he shall ask, and he shall give him life for them that sin not unto death. There is a sin unto death: I do not say that he shall pray for it. There are seven different types of death mentioned in the Bible and only one of them is eternal!! Example Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. The previous verse is divided into two parts, which are antithetical; one assures eternal death the other eternal life! Into which category, would you say a brother would fit, there is no middle ground, so it is referring to physical death not eternal death; the Lord just might take him home to orientate him, if he doesn’t want to listen to reason and sound advise from a brother! 645 | Please read my previous question. | Matt 10:5 | CDBJ | 135241
The fact that God turned to the Genitals wasn’t a flip of the coin, as it might seem too many. Speaking of the Jews, Romans 11:11 I say then, Have they stumbled that they should fall? God forbid: but rather through their fall salvation is come unto the Gentiles, for to provoke them to jealousy. God I his omniscience knew from eternity past exactly what He would do. 1 Cor. 2:7 But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory: Ephes. 1:4 According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love: It might appear to some that God has changed the playing field but I can assure you that His plan and purpose are right on schedule right down to the last second. Have a great day, CDBJ Sorry if this is a double post!! |

646 | Gods plan to save all nation frm d start | Matt 10:5 | CDBJ | 135234
I don’t see where God is dealing with Nations, as your post might suggest, with the exception of Israel. I would like to see in the Bible where the Lord suggests what you are saying. “Isn't it God's plan to save all nations from the beginning including the pagans?” The offer of salvation is going out to all individuals but not all, as individuals, are willing to trust in God’s solution, His precious Son Jesus! It’s like throwing a life ring to a drowning man, he doesn’t have to take hold of the ring if he doesn’t want to, it’s up to his personal will but the provision is there for him. Jesus is the only provision that God has provided for mankind and we better trust in Him with all we have or it will be eternal doom. 2 Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. God isn’t willing that any should perish, be it nation or otherwise, but He created us with a free will and most aren’t willing to put all of their faith in God’s provision, Jesus! To say that God will save all the nations kind of goes against the following. Matthew 25:32-41 And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats: [33] And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left. [34] Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: [35] For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in: [36] Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me. [37] Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink? [38] When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee? [39] Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee? [40] And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me. [41] Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels: Have a great day, CDBJ |

Greetings Dalcent and welcome to the forum, Have you come to the place yet, in your spiritual experience, where you can say for sure that you would spend eternity in heaven if you were to die suddenly, possibly within the next minute or two? I realize that is an awesome thought but if you were to stand before God in the next few minutes and He were to say to you, why should I let you come into my kingdom, what do you think you would say to Him? There have been many numerous answers that have been expressed on this forum with regards to that question, and it would be interesting to hear your views on that situation. Have a great day, CDBJ |

651 | How do you know you have been blessed? | Rev 22:14 | CDBJ | 131010
There are verves of Scripture that tell us we are blessed if certain things have taken place. We aren’t necessarily blessed because we feel a certain way; we are blessed in reality because God has said so in His Word. Examples Matthew 16:17 And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven. Romans 4:7 Saying, Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven, and whose sins are covered. Galatians 3:8 And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the heathen through faith, preached before the gospel unto Abraham, saying, In thee shall all nations be blessed. Ephes. 1:3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ: Every one that is trusting in Jesus Christ, and the work He did on the cross, for their eternal life, are considered to be blessed of God. Greeting Noveta, I have been a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ since 1965 and the burden for my better half just about ate me up until she finally came to the Lord for her salvation. I can’t imagine what you are going through but you sure have my prayers!! I have found that letting ones spouse see the love of Christ in you works wonder when trying to share the gospel message. Matthew 5:16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven. 1 John 5:13 These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God. Ephes. 3:20 Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, Have a great day, CDBJ |

654 | . What really did happen during this pro | Bible general Archive 2 | CDBJ | 129435
Greetings and welcome to the forum, In response to your question, in part, you suggest, “Can we say that at the time of the crucifixion that he did not die and that he was alive for three days in the tomb and the third day he arose?” Well, not trying to appear blunt, but we can take just about any Scripture and twist it around to say what we want but it doesn’t mean that it is true the way we say it. All Scripture must be considered in order to establish a true doctrine. Psalm 119:160 The sum of thy word is truth; (ASV) And every one of thy righteous ordinances endureth for ever. Jesus actually died as per Paul. 1 Cor. 15:1-8 Now I make known unto you brethren, the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye received, wherein also ye stand, [2] by which also ye are saved, if ye hold fast the word which I preached unto you, except ye believed in vain. [3] For I delivered unto you first of all that which also I received: that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; [4] and that he was buried; and that he hath been raised on the third day according to the scriptures; [5] and that he appeared to Cephas; then to the twelve; [6] then he appeared to above five hundred brethren at once, of whom the greater part remain until now, but some are fallen asleep; [7] then he appeared to James; then to all the apostles; [8] and last of all, as to the child untimely born, he appeared to me also. If more Scripture is needed I will be happy to list more. Have a great day, CDBJ |

655 | Is Church needed for high spirited ones? | Eph 5:25 | CDBJ | 129432
Hi Calmrage, ??? Many times believers grow to the point that they don’t see the need for church, as it were. They are over feed and don’t realize that they are the ones that should be feeding others. It’s not of a necessity that they need the church as much as it is the church, local assembly, needs them. Ephes. 4:11-13 And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; [12] For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: [13] Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ: Older believers are to help the younger believers by what they have experienced. The older should be assisting the young believers with their struggles and even the more so as times will get tougher, just before the Lord returns. Hebrews 10:25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching. The word in the English “exhorting”, come to us from the Koine Greek word, PARAKALEO, and it infers coming along side to help out by bolstering others up. That’s pretty hard to do without being in the same location, i.e. the local assembly. Have a great day, CDBJ |

Greetings goef, Your questions are along the subject of eschatology, which is my favorite Biblical subject! There is a great book out, and one that has answered almost all of my puzzling questions and cleared up so many scriptures about future times and events that will take place on earth; you might want to get a copy. The book is called “The Sign” by Robert Van Kampen. Bob just passed away a few years ago, it seems that after he completed the book that his job here on earth was finished so the Lord took him home! There is a great web site also, that contains Bob’s teachings. http://www.solagroup.org/ Have a great day, CDBJ |

Greetings FytRobert, I would like to apologize if my post deemed to be somewhat curt, there seem be so many that join the forum with a personal agenda in mind and it is appreciated when one backs up what they are trying convey to the forum with Bible verses. If your lack of knowledge of Scripture is due to the fact that you are a new believer in Christ I can appreciate you situation. I think the best advice I could give any new believer would be to keep ones self in fellowship with the Lord by the exercise of 1st John 1:9. 1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. When you read the Bible always pray and ask the Lord to give you wisdom and understanding while reading His word. I would suggest you start by reading the Gospel of John three or four times and learning what God has actually promises to all those who will put their undivided trust in God’s precious Son, Jesus Christ. The reason that the book of John was written is found in the 20th chapter of the book. John 20:30-31 And many other signs truly did Jesus in the presence of his disciples, which are not written in this book: [31] But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name. My most favorite verses in the whole Bible are found in the 1st book of John. 1 John 5:10-13 He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself: he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son. [11] And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. [12] He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life. [13] These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God. Isn’t that a great and precious promise that God has given to us, as believers in Jesus! WOW!!! Have a great day, CDBJ |
