62 | Must we be Baptized to enter Heaven | John 4:14 | joel k | 102987
what about the thief that hung on the cross beside Jesus ... "today you will be with me in heaven" I don't think they got down off the cross to baptise him.
63 | Where have all the old songs gone? | John 12:32 | joel k | 104846
Mr. Aixen , thank you for posting this. I couldn't agree with you more. esecially about the difference between the churches with hymn books and the churches with projectors. I have been the music director for a hymn book church and have strugled with the unacceptance of modern music. And recently I visted the church where my brother has been the music director for many years (both are the same denomination) and it is a projector church. The point is this; I led him to Christ some 25 years ago, and we have grown so differently that I didn't know any of the music they sang. Ironically, he is my older brother and I am the one who is the traditionalist when it comes to music. There is one flavorful compromise; I write gospel songs with modern praises and traditional music. ... good answer ... thank you Lord Jesus I really did enjoy your comment about how everyone should be required to post their testimony before they can participate. I love the testimonies the Lord has given me. Though they tell of my dispare, they are my praise to the King of all Kings. The tales of Christ redeeming blood in my life are like stories only a Master could write. And the Master keeps on writting more chapters, but I can't seem to find an audience with a Holy perspective. I find that most people believe the Word of God is true, but try to tell them about how a super-natural (God)event played out in your own life and they are full of doubt. with bubba-love joel k |

65 | Why Is Leviticus11 Ignored by Christians | Rom 10:4 | joel k | 104703
hi again tom and greetings to the family of believers. I read the statement on your forum profile. I also love gosplecom - munications! However, I believe the best translation for understanding this is found at the top of this page, NASB-AMP "the purpose of the law is fulfilled" I see many of this kind of question here on the forum, so I hope many of us read this one as it comes from The Heart. HOW MANY SINS DID JESUS CARRY ???????? ALL ... FOREVER ... AMEN We focus too much on what not to do. Let's try to focus on what Jesus said TO DO. I believe if we can focus on what to do ... all of the do not do's will lay down before us. Praise God, for only he is Faithful. |

66 | Why Is Leviticus11 Ignored by Christians | Rom 10:4 | joel k | 104772
tom .. hi .. did you find an answer in romans? if i look at in in simple form i think of this ... suppose every sin can only be sinned once, including eating forbiden food, ... for the law to be a law there must be an occurance, a judgement, and punishment. Even today, someone somewhere did something wrong and did not even think twice about it, but the person who was on the recieving end of the wrongdoing feels the weight of it unless he can pretend it never happend. (forgivness) now turn this story around and put Jesus at both ends ... see how we are covered? Thank Jesus for Pork !!! |

67 | new creation ... follow up | Rom 12:19 | joel k | 103037
new creation ...thank you for the info. on where to find help. There is much more to this story ... like you said ... more info keeps showing up ... I also was denied a position as music director at my home church two weeks after I lost my job. The review commitee said they need someone more stable and better suited for the job. I am still devistated. I have known many troubles, as often Christians do, but this time I feel anger. I have waited in hope many years for the chance to serve my lord in praise. And now the rejection has got me befuddled, and drifting. There is some merit to the excuse they gave for terminating me, but I know otherwise. My Christian beliefs tell me to forgive and go on, but I can't seem to go anywhere. A friend pointed out to me that this man (the manager) broke the law. Why should an enemy of God go unpunished by man? |

68 | What does1 Cor. 5:11 mean? | 1 Cor 5:1 | joel k | 104708
greeting to the family of believers. My friend ... please take what I say with a smile and know that God loves you, too. this scripture 1st corinthians 5:11 has been used by many of you who claim Christ as yours and yours to judge those who draw near to him. I would suppose that there are ten's of thousands of sinners who found the Love of Christ in their hearts, and could not find it at Church so they wont go back. (and now i cry with her... her bleeding heart is now stepped on.) The weary sinners come looking for rest (because Jesus promised them this at the cross) looking for Salvation and Love some of them found it for the first time and others found it available to them again after they saw that the TRUTH is Love. And He offers the sinner a LIFE and promises us He is the WAY. Now we come to the Lord's House beaten torn, addicts, with guilt, lust and shame, proclaiming aloud before the family of believers, seeking prayers, councel, healing and repentence. And for her obidience to Christ call to the sinner to return, she recieves harsh judgement, intolerance, humility and even stared at. I'm sure she regrets giving her number to some one who is so intrusive. How dare you judge them saying " I doubt that they are a believer based on their own admision of being a believer" if they did not believe why are they at church? The 5th chapter of 1 Corinthians was written by Paul as a reply to the church he and Timothy had begun. He is the judge of the practices of these people but only within the walls of the church, as he clearly states. It had been reported that a man among them was having his fathers wife. This is still the subject in the 11th verse. And it has nothing to do with the sinners who Christ calls into HIS house for repentance. may I suggest this ... pray for forgivness, claim ignorance, humble yourself, then print a copy of this page and include it with your letter of apology to her and if posible never exalt yourself like this again. Then Praise God for the Truth is in Christ, Jesus. Amen. |

70 | What does1 Cor. 5:11 mean? | 1 Cor 5:1 | joel k | 104742
read what I said. you bring yourself to the judgement. I have only revealed God's Word and if you are feeling judged then you should examine your self. I have also been hung out to dry because of this verse 5:11 .. Start at the begining of the Chapter and try to read as if no one ever added the number ref.s for exanple : David took a stone and killed the giant. does this mean everyoe should go after a giant with stones or just everyone named David. it sounds as incomplete as your singular verse, huh. I am praying Holy Spirit healing power for all of us. joel k
71 | based on 1 Corinthians 5 | 1 Cor 5:5 | joel k | 104770
what a blessing it is to hear such sweet suplications ... caving in and sinning ... feeling guilty ... trying to make it up to God ...willing2change ... I have been getting eaten alive by the well meaning saints of this forum today and last night. The verse you refer to is a stumbling block for many Christians, and it is used ... out of the context .. to destroy peoples faith in redemption. After recieving many replies from others who refuse to even consider that the truth speaks for itself, I told myself today that I am through with this forum. I have been heart-sick all day because I saw the Word of God torn in two and used for kindling the fires. I can not handle the misuse and abuse, because I live, eat, drink and breath by the Word. ..... then I see your Question and the awesome reply from scribe. and I thank God he was there. I would be honored to share the truth with you. If you would like to talk, we must speak elsewhere. I could not handle another beating like I just got from the ones who think we should be cowards and let others kill with the sword. Hang on brother, and call Jesus by his newest name ... willing2changeU2 ... joel k joelweger@msn.com |

72 | based on 1 Corinthians 5 | 1 Cor 5:5 | joel k | 104799
scribe .. thank you for being the encourager you are. It is very hard to absorb the contention whenever --I see a new believer asking questions that are the typically ask (or ordained) to the nature of salvation --- and I use the precious gift/share the blessing to render assistance in understanding --- then someone else refutes the Word by tagging a note saying " I think ...bla bla bla " and " my opinion is ... bla bla bla ..." surely this tends to add confusion for the original poster and takes away from the answers the Holy Spirit has delivered to us in scriptures. Do you know what I mean? If you will, read the tread on 1Cor.5:11 from a couple of days ago where the first poster talks about a new lady that is living a sexually immoral life. I could not find a way (at that time) to be gentle about knocking her off her pedistle. Having first hand knoledge of the mis-use of this scripture out of it's context makes it one of my personal pet peaves. (? spelling) please let me know your thoughts on this scripture, but as you probably know you must start a the begining of this subject (1Cor. 5:1) Thank You, joel k |

73 | Don't associate with Christians who sin? | 1 Cor 5:11 | joel k | 104897
janjan . greetings your answer here seems to be great suggestion ... like finding mutual ground. Unless I mis-understood you, you are saying we should NOT expell a sinner from the Lord's house, but we should trust the Holy Spirit to guide with who we associate. Is this what you are saying? I have a bit of a problem with the whole idea of having an "inner circle". But I may be mis-informed. please advise.also if you click on your screen name hyper-link you can post a profile and a decree of your faith and that way others will know who they are speaking with... you never know who or why if there's no profile. with bubba-love, joel k |

76 | don't be a LOSER | 1 Cor 13:11 | joel k | 105155
I am amazed that so many of you (not all) give answers to scripture other than the scripture refernce posted by the person asking the question. Do you remember when Paul taught us that we may be the host in the presents of an angel without knowing it, well if they stand with us in the world surely they also stand in the cyber-world. do not be so free with your insults. I answered one of you and said that Jesus was my only teacher, and that tens of thousands of souls have returned because of what he taught me, and I got a reply of insults that said I should get an education on the internet. What a loser. And what an insult to our Lord. GROW UP BROTHERS AND SISTERS. please read proverbs 22:29 and Isaiah 31:3 this is the last you will hear from me, I promiss. please do not remove from the unanswered question page for at least one day so all will see. in Love Joel k |

77 | Kathy .. why answer me here? | 1 Cor 13:11 | joel k | 105161
kathy .. why do you also have to post this answer? don't you see how it only proves my point. You could have answered me directly, but that would take away the glory of being the one with the wisest answer.
78 | Kathy .. why answer me here? | 1 Cor 13:11 | joel k | 105171
please don't get me wrong. I also believe there are no losers in Christ. ( or maybe all are loser that Christ has redeemed) But, someone you know once told me "satin goes to every church" so in the light of that , there are losers here too. When did this become a squabble between you and me ????
79 | fact or fiction STIGMATA | Gal 6:17 | joel k | 103074
does anybody have an educated opinion about stigmata? NASB is only version I know with the word (brand) added
80 | khuck ... thanks for your answers .. | Gal 6:17 | joel k | 103124
khuck ... thank you for your answers ... the reason I ask is because when I read this scripture Gal. 6:17 Paul touched me in a way that had been very personal up until then. When your most inwardly formed thoughts ... your feelings about yourself ... are found to be already written about ... thousands of years ago ... suddenly they are not so personal anymore. At 40 years old now, I see more clearly than ever how I (unknowingly) carried the cross since childhood, and even though I know how I got my scars (both physical and spiritual) I also know that they are a mimmic of Christ. I believe Paul had the same reflections in his life, almost like a confromation from God. I have had many spiritual events in my life, and I have seen so much you won't believe. But I have always recieved from the Word of God, by His Holy Spirit, comfort in scripture because they don't just speak to me, they speak about me in the way that they relate exactly to my life and sufferings. There are a fewpeople close to me that confirm to me that I'm not out of my head because they can see the relation too. There is a movie called stigmata and a web site. They talk about st. Frances being the first documented case of stigmata occurring without being self-induced mutilation of the body. |
