61 | Please HelpUnderstanding Sola Scriptura? | Gen 1:1 | Tamara Brewington | 205817
Dear Forum members, I understand this much about Sola Scriptura - that the Bible is the sole authoritative word of God. Please correct me if this is a wrong understanding and what if any tenets are listed in this understanding? I did go to Cristian.org and read the article but wonder if there is such a list which I am describing of tenets. Thanks everyone for putting up with my ignorance about some things some times...Tam |

Dear Doc, Thank you for that insight there about what the church has generaly taught... I have noticed you have a propensity to refer to what the compendium of theologians and commentators in the church have taught. I would say it is good to do this, but I would not rely on it primarily myself before trying to see what the scripture is saying, not saying you are either. Of course we take into account that these great men have had the time to study these things for longer and more intesnly than we might ever hope to do. I like the idea of starting with the scriptures first as a starting point in order to arrive at a conclusion; Quote, What is Theology, by Tamara Brewington, excerpt; A Starting Point for the Study of Christian Doctrine The first question that has to be answered in doing theology is where to find the sources for composing a doctrine and the sources are as follows: 1.Natural Theology – general revelation of God, i.e., the parts of creation in the universe are examined in order to extract definite facts about God and human nature as empirical evidence. 2.Tradition – the teachings of the compendium of persons and institutions which comprise the church fathers, theologians, and the Universal Christian Church throughout history provide a foundation of beliefs as a basis for what ought to be believed as being normative. 3.The Scriptures – the Bible as a document is the authority for the Christian faith ruling what should be believed and acted upon. 4.Experience – the religious experience of the Christian provides authoritative divine information from which to provide a foundation of beliefs as a basis for what ought to be normative. The scriptures provide the best source as the divinely inspired word of God from which to gather materials for composing a doctrine because it is the highest authority out of the four sources from which to choose. I would go in order by 3, 2, 1, and 4 with great caution. I was unfamiliar with this example by John Gill that you gave, I have never, ever heard this take on this passage before... Quote, MacArthur Bible Commentary, by John MacArthur, pg. 277, par.6; Gideon's two requests for signs in the fleece should be viewed as weak faith; even Gideon recognized this when he said, "Do not be angry with me" (v.39) since God had already specifically promised His presence and victory (vv. 12,14,16). But they were also legitimate requests for confirmation of victory against seemingly impossible odds (6:5, 7:2, 12) God nowhere reprimande Gideon, but was very compassionate in giving what his inadequacy requested. In 7:10-15 God volunteered a sign to boost Gidneon's faith. He should have believed God's promises i n7:9, but he needed to bolstering, so God graciously gave it without chastisement. I am thinking about John Gill's statement there that; "and perhaps his view was more for the encuoragment of those that were with him than himself". I do not find that very credible because Gideon seemed to need a personal confirmation for himself because he says to God, "then I will know that You will deliver Israel throug me,". Perhaps you see why I came to the conclusion there that Gideon was seeking for God to confirm what God has already said and that it was a testament of the state of his faith or so. Thank you for the information... God's Day To You, Tamara |

64 | Baptiam of the Holy Spirit | Eph 1:13 | Tamara Brewington | 205762
Dear dscott1, This has been a very hot topic around here lately on various posts, but I will not get into how to go about looking up all those post right now. I will leave that for someone else to do who like pointing people to posts as a answer (no offense anyone please, go ahead and give this person the numbers for the threads, I don't have time to look them all up). Ephesians 1:13 In Him, you also, alfter listening to the message of the truth, the gosepl of your salvation - having also believed, you were sealed in Him with the Holy Spirit of promise. This verse according to Paul means that as soon as you believe you receive the Holy Spirit. This is the Baptism of the Holy Spirit and it happens at the momentof belief. Let's take Mark 16:17 - These signs will accompany those who have believed; in My name they will cast out demons, they will speak with new tongues. This passage is in brackets because there is a discrepancy as to whether or not it actually belongs in the NT at all according to the translators. I however believe in the essence of what the passage is saying as elements of it can be found to be said of Jesus elsewhere and this text does not contradict the whole counsel of scripture, rather it falls in line with it, which is why the translator keep leaving it in. I believe it is safe to say that all of these things did happen in Acts except the part about being poisoned. Okay, now lets' deal with Acts. Acts has been used for a very long time to uphold the belief that when one believes in Jesus there is to be a baptism of the Holy Spirit that is evidenced solely by the speaking in tongues because of the history of pneumatic infusion in Acts. However there are other schools of thought about how the Holy Spirit give evidence of Himself in the believer. There is also a discrepancy to whether or not He necessarily must give a visible evidence of any kind that He is in the believer at or near the moment of belief. Jesus sent the disciples to witness to groups of people as a commission in Acts. In Acts you will find that four groups of people received the visible sign of speaking in tongues when the apostles either preached to them, and or laid hands on them after preaching to them. In fact there were groups of people that got preached to who did not receive the Holy Spirit until the apostles showed up to do this very thing - like those who heard Philip and were baptized, yet did not yet have the Holy Spirit. The four groups are the Jews in 2 who were of the promises, the Samaritans in 8 who believed in the right God the wrong way, the Gentiles in 10 who needed to hear about who God truly was, those who only had the repentance and baptism of John in 19. Each of these four groups had to be brought into the body of Christ by the apostles and when each of thes four groups got brought in the evidence came that had received the Holy Spirit by the speaking of tongues. After Acts you do not see this same sort of activity pervasively happening because all the types of people that there are on the earth that could be brought into the body of Christ fit into these four groups and are all ready included as a group in the body of Christ, this is true even today. Either you are a Jew, or you believe in the right God the wrong way, or you are a Gentile, or you have only repented of sins and been baptized in water but you have not believed in the Christ and recieved the Holy Spirit at the moment of belief with or without evidence. There is not one group or indvidual today that would not fit in one of these four groups just as it was true then. There are instances in Acts like at the end of 2 where it does not say that there was evidence of tongues just becuase they now believed. Does not Paul say in I Corinthians 12 that not all have tongues do they, etc., but one and the same Spirit distributes the gifts severaly as He will and we are all baptized by the Spirit into the body of Christ, but not all have the same function. How then is it that tongues is the only or primary evidence that one has received the Holy Spirit when according to Paul it is not? I do not find scriptural support for the belief that the gift has passed away any where in the Bible, nor do I find any evidence in the Bible that any other gift has passed away except being an apsotle. Paul states clearly that he is the very last apostle. This is not a popular belief amonsgt confessig Evangelicals because so many of the charismatice gifts have abused and misused and misrepresented in the churches. This does not mean that these gifts don't exist for real, it means that they have misused. God's Day To you and welcome Minister dscott1, God's Day To You, Tamara |

65 | Can Christian teach unsaved about ghost? | Bible general Archive 4 | Tamara Brewington | 205749
Dear heart, Don't explaim anything about what you know about why evil is doing anything to a child, you are right it will only scare. The best thing to do with a child that may or may not be able understand the salvation of Jesus Christ is to tell her that Jesus loves her and read her passages of the Bible that speak about God protecting from evil. I would only do this if you are already close to the parents and have a relationship with the girl. The parents obviously have to be given the gospel in order to get the real spiritual guidance they need in order to have a godly peacful home. Don't get discouraged about helping the best help you can give them my dear is your prayers every day and by encouraging them to come to church to hear the gospel and by continuing to be friends with them and be a real support to them by telling them that you are going to pray for them. You can also offer to pray with them and pray for their salvation as well as the little girl while they are all present with you together and offer to study the Bible with them. Perhaps your compassion is something God will use to help them know Him. Don't throw away an excellent opportunity to be a loving Christian to an unsaved family in crisis, this is why we are here right? To provide a light to a dying world? Hope, faith, love, but the greatest of these is love, Tamara |

66 | Can you say no to God too many times? | Matt 7:21 | Tamara Brewington | 205747
Dear MickysMom, Good question, and welcome to the Forum! Let's start with Lord, Lord; Mathew 7:21 Jesus says many will come to Him saying Lord Lord having done the works of God and performing miracles and Jesus will tell them He never knew them. So some will appear to be Christians due to good works right? Let's look at Romans 3:27 - Paul says where is boasting about keeping the law, essentialy, and then is boasting of works? Then he says no but by a law of faith... You ever heard of once saved always saved? You ever heard of by faith alone by grace alone? These concepts come from reading Romans, the whole book. And these things are true, our salvation is not conditional on whether or not we are able to keep from sinning but on the grace of God who saved us. You raise a most interesting and troublesome point however because there are several schools of thought on how what you are talking about works, the processes that is, and it most of it comes from scripture. So far I have talked about Paul and what he taught on the concept of what is called that one's salvation cannot be canceled out by a next sin, or a series of sin. You have to factor in though that Paul does talk about the process of sanctification whereby you willl visibly get better at not sinning and get closer and closer to being like Christ in your actions. According to Jesus it is possible to do good things like miracles and not make it in, but according to Paul there is not a possiblity of making it in if you are not saved by faith alone, by grace alone, and your works, as he agrees with Jesus is not the measure of your savedness for lack of a better term. Now, let's turn to John's writtings - he sets forth a different concept about being saved and what that consists of than Paul, he does not contradict Paul ever, but sets forth a kind of standard of what a confessing Christians should look like and act like. Let's go to I, II, and III John. There are a number of things to see here. First let's start with I John 2; 1)Do not love the world if any loves the world the Father is not in him. I John 3; 2)Everyone who practices sin also practices lawlessness and no one who abides in Him sins and no one born of God practices sins. 3)Whoever does not help his brother who is in need does not love God. 4)Do not believe every spirit only those who confess Jesus are of God. II John; 5)Whoever does not acknowledge Jesus as coming in the flesh is not of God. III John; 6)The one who does evil has not seen God. Partial Quote, John MacArthur Study Bible; Fruit Proofs of Authentic Faith Love for God Repentance From sin Genuine Humility Devotion to God's Glory Continual Prayer Selfless Love Separation from the World Obedient Living Hunger for God's Word Transformation of Life The good tree brings forth good fruit and the bad tree brings forth bad fruit, by their fruits you shall know them. There is the possiblity that a person can be saved and be fallen for a protracted period of time, or go back and forth, but at some point before they die if they are really saved, God will convict them and they will turn around, repent and walk holy in Christ Jesus and not live that way anymore. Hope This Helped, Tamara |

69 | homosexual brain wired that way at birth | 1 Cor 6:9 | Tamara Brewington | 205733
Dear believer, Quote, Christian Ethics and Morals, essay by Tamara Brewington 2008; Medical Aspects The Kinsey Report was responisble for flawed data concerning the percentages of sexual exploitation in children and adults. Some researchers state that there is no evidence to support the hypothesis that homosexuals or bisexuals are chromosomally, or hormonally differetn than hertosexuals. Sexual behavior has been found to be the result of learned behavior, rather than genetic disposition. The pathology of the family psychology has been found to have little to no effect on becoming homosexual or bisexual. There have been attempts at treatment of homosexuality and research has not proven that sexual orientation is determined by the age of three. Research shows that homosexual behavior can be reversed. Homosexuality has been the cause of a rise in sexually transmitted diseases of all types due to promiscuous activity, accounting for 50 percent of all sexually transmitted diseases. Hepatitis B is prevalent in the homosexual culture and there has been a rise in the incidences of rectal cancer. This causes a public health problem touching the interests of the general public at large. I think it is safe to say there is no merit to the beliefs of homosexuals that they are "born that way" the Bible says that they got the was they are for worshippping something other than God and science clearly shows that their "feelings that they are born that way" are unfounded to date. 71 | Evidenc of Signs in 2008 Valid? | Mark 16:17 | Tamara Brewington | 205724
My dearest Jim, Did you read Pastor Moran's post? Most informing and intersting observations - namely that there is a question in the textual study area of whether or not the end of Mark should even be in the NT at all, that is why in every Bible it appears in brackets (I think I submitted a post not to long ago in answer to someone about this very thing). Since this portion of Mark is still to this day held in question as to whether it belongs in the NT taking it and runnig forward with it is not reccommended by commentators. As to posion, we should never say poison refers to a substance not intended by the original author, I highly doubt if that passage belongs in the NT that Mark meant bad food, I think he meant real poison, like a draught of poison. I think we should also try to look at the whole text there in the end of Mark in the light of the whole rest of what we can find in scripture that there is to see. For instance the use of tongues is not seen through out the NT as a sign of those who have believed consistently after the groups were added in Acts. And we don't here much about casting out demons either. This came up about the same verse in another post a few days ago and Pastor Moran remarked then, that we can't leave out the list of the other gifts as signs that people have believed. Making sense of things literaly must always also take into consideration the other texts that apply to the understanding of the principle to be arrived at as to an application. Some of the scriptures you came up with go off the general page in terms of hitting on the subject matter, but I can understand from reading carefully what you wrote how you got where you got. God's Love To You, Tamara |

Dear Doc, I will ask you to try to see that Gideon had no need to ask for a confirmation of something he shoud have just taken on faith... There was no need to ask for a confirmation of what he knew he heard was there? Here do you like this language better; Gideon asked for a confirmation of what he already was clearly told and should have known God would do, and that constitutes some lack on his part of a complete trust that God would deliver receiving a sign of confirmation. If that is still out of order please Doc take the time and :))))))) patience to teach my why it is out of order, or wrong thinking verbiage, verbiage, verbiage... I am trying to get at the reason why Gideon seemed to be needing confirmation - God is a solid promiser what is not clear about being told once? Gideon had that once being shown by fleece was not enough, and asked that God's anger not burn against him for asking twice - he was aware that there might be a problem between God that he was asking... We can say for sure that he had doubt about what God promised or he would not have asked for a sign of confirmation would he? That is where I started out from... God Bless, Tam |

Dear Believer53, By the way welcome to the Forum! I Corinthians 14:3 But one who prophesies speaks to men for edification and exhortation and consolation. We need to be carelful to have a Biblical understanding of what constituted as prophecy in the first century church here. What kind of information a prophet such as Paul was describing is a bit different than what you are sort of describing as bing a Christian and "knowing things". Prophecy is not simply a matter of "knowing things". Prophecy is about knowing "certain things", not all things. Paul is qulifiying the scope of the gift here; 1)edification - information that builds up the body of Christ that would concern everyone in the body and also separately as an edification to the body of Christ of the conviction of an unbeliever because the secrets of his heart are exposed in the congregation - see verses 24 and 25 for this part, most miss this part as part of the possilities of the use of the gift in the equation of it being valid at all today. 2)exohortation - the clarion call to use sound doctrine to address life issues and Christian practice - see II Timothy 3:16 3)consolation - the use of godly knowledge to provide comfort in distress. All of these things are done by the prophet with knowledge provided by the Holy Spirit to the prophet. A good example would be Agabus the prophet in Acts 11:27-30 who predicted a famine and the need for the congregation to send relief for the brethren in Judea. The famine did indeed occur as a recorded historical event and the relief was sent in time to provide much needed help. Do you see how this edified the body? It is not about being not doomed if you are a Christian if you know stuff and doomed as an unbeliever if you know stuff. Most self proclaimed psychics claim they are hearing from God because they believe they are practicing white magic, which presupposes that God has some dead good spirits hanging around to wait to speak to the living as "guides" in order to give life intructions to the "lost". This is a Babylonian and Egyptian practice of pagan idol worship that included "spirit guides" - there is nothing new under the sun dear... Have you ever seen Oprah? Well you aren't missing anything if you didn't, she has on a whole lot of new age teachers of vairous beliefs. She has had on a bunch of folks who will claim that they are hearing from God to tell you your business. That is being psychic, to tell you something to edify only you, not the whole body of Christ or to convict you to worship God. Do you see the difference now? God's Day To You, Tamara |

74 | laying out fleece vs divining | Judg 6:38 | Tamara Brewington | 205702
Dear Believer53, The laying out of fleece was actually something the Lord decided to answer tha Gideon did out of a lack of faith. Think about it a little -Gedeon says If you will deliver Israel through me, as You have spoken, etc." We can stop right there, Gideon says something very important here, he says, "as You have spoken". God had already told Gideon what He would do. Then in the next verse 37 Gideon divises a test to confirm what God already promised to do! Let's not even get into you shall not test the Lord your God... God decides in His own mercy and sovereign will to answer Gideon's request for a confirmation of His word to Gideon. That is not diving anything that is asking God to confirm His word and only becuase God decided to answer Gideon are we hearing about in the Bible. Not to teach us to divine things, but as an expample of God interacting with man in a miraculous way that was never, ever repeated, nor will it be. This is what the Bible says about diviners, which would include dousing as dousing as it is a form of divination; Deuteronomy 18:10-13 There shall not be found among you anyone who makes his son or his daughter pass through the fire, one who uses divination, one who practices witchcraft, or one who interprets omens, or a sorcerer, or one who casts a spell, or a medium, or a spiritist, or one who calls up the dead. Deuteronomy 18:14 For those nations, which you shall dispossess, listen to those who practice witchcraft and to diviners, but as for you, the Lord your God has nto allowed you to do so. Dousing is done by having one with the power of divination go out and point a stick at the ground in order to "divine" where the water is. Persons are said to be born with this power, it is said this power runs in families and the like. I would say this - being a psychic of any kind is done by the power of the devil and sometimes quite effectively and there are many things folks may be able to truly acccomplish by the power of the devil. I am sure that being a pychic can be real because I used to be one before I got delieverd from the power of the devil. I used to be able to walk up to folks and know their personall business down to details I should not be knowing, I married into a family that did this on the side for a living part time and they would sit there in the fanciest hotels where there were long long lines of people waiting to be read for ten dollars a pop. The power of the devil has deceived many for century upon century with impressive feats of knowledge and divinations of all kinds, dousing is just one of many that does work, but is evil. The devil has a kingdom of which he is ruler and it is called the world forces of this darkness, called so by Paul, it is also said by Jesus that the earth is the kingdom of the devil. This stuff is very real and not all supersition based on nothing, but it is indeed evil and you should gaurd your heart and your very life from it by studying the Bible to find out every truth in it. God's Day To You, Just a evil sinner who got saved by His Infinte Grace, Tamara |

continuation of Quote; wikipedia, Tamara “Mar Ephrem the Syrian said: When Noah awoke and was told what Canaan did. . .Noah said, ‘Cursed be Canaan and may God make his face black,’ and immediately the face of Canaan changed; so did of his father Ham, and their white faces became black and dark and their color changed.” Paul de Lagarde, Materialien zur Kritik und Geschichte des Pentateuchs (Leipzig, 1867), part II The Eastern Christian work, the Cave of Treasures (4th century), explicitly connects slavery with dark-skinned people: “When Noah awoke. . .he cursed him and said: ‘Cursed be Ham and may he be slave to his brothers’. . .and he became a slave, he and his lineage, namely the Egyptians, the Abyssinians, and the Indians. Indeed, Ham lost all sense of shame and he became black and was called shameless all the days of his life, forever.” La caverne des trésors: version Géorgienne, ed. Ciala Kourcikidze, trans. Ishodad of Merv (Syrian Christian bishop of Hedhatha, 9th century): When Noah cursed Canaan, “instantly, by the force of the curse. . .his face and entire body became black [ukmotha]. This is the black color which has persisted in his descendents.” C. Van Den Eynde, Corpus scriptorium Christianorum orientalium 156, Scriptores Syri 75 (Louvain, 1955), p. 139. Eutychius, Alexandrian Melkite patriarch (d. 940): “Cursed be Ham and may he be a servant to his brothers… He himself and his descendants, who are the Egyptians, the Negroes, the Ethiopians and (it is said) the Barbari.” Patrologiae cursus completes…series Graeca, ed. J.P. At the moment of the curse, Canaan’s body became black and the blackness spread out among them.” Joannes C.J. Sanders, Commentaire sur la Genèse, Corpus Scriptorum Christianorum Orientalium 274-275, Scriptores Arabici 24-25 (Louvain, 1967), 1:56 (text), 2:52-55 (translation). Bar Hebraeus (Syrian Christian scholar, 1226-86): “‘And Ham, the father of Canaan, saw the nakedness of his father and showed [it] to his two brothers.’ That is…that Canaan was cursed and not Ham, and with the very curse he became black and the blackness was transmitted to his descendents…. And he said, ‘Cursed be Canaan! A servant of servants shall he be to his brothers.’” Sprengling and Graham, Barhebraeus’ Scholia on the Old Testament, pp. 40-41, to Gen 9:22. See also: Phillip Mayerson, “Anti-Black Sentiment in the Vitae Patrum”, Harvard Theological Review, vol. 71, 1978, pp. 304-311. According to Catholic mystic Anne Catherine Emmerich, "I saw the curse pronounced by Noah upon Ham moving toward the latter like a black cloud and obscuring him. His skin lost its whiteness, he grew darker. His sin was the sin of sacrilege, the sin of one who would forcibly enter the Ark of the Covenant. I saw a most corrupt race descend from Ham and sink deeper and deeper in darkness. I see that the black, idolatrous, stupid nations are the descendants of Ham. Their color is due, not to the rays of the sun, but to the dark source whence those degraded races sprang" 2. Pre-modern European interpretations. In the Middle Ages, European scholars of the Bible picked up on the Jewish Talmud idea of viewing the "sons of Ham" or Hamites as cursed, possibly "blackened" by their sins. Though early arguments to this effect were sporadic, they became increasingly common during the slave trade of the 18th and 19th Centuries. 5 The justification of slavery itself through the sins of Ham was well suited to the ideological interests of the elite; with the emergence of the slave trade, its racialized version justified the exploitation of a ready supply of African labour. This interpretation of Scripture was never adopted by the African Coptic Churches. God's Day To You, Tamara |

Dear Jeff, I went looking at your scriptures first off, because I really wanted to know what the Bible says in answer to the oringinal question that got posted. Here is what I found out abuot the erroneous curse of Ham and how it got started! Quote; wikipedia; Early Jewish interpretations The Torah assigns no racial characteristics or rankings to Ham. Moses married a Cushite, one of the reputed descendants of Ham, according to the Book of Numbers, Chapter 12. Despite this, a number of early Jewish writers have interpreted the Biblical narrative of Ham in a racial way. The Babylonian Talmud, Sanhedrin 108b states "Our Rabbis taught: Three copulated in the ark, and they were all punished — the dog, the raven, and Ham. The dog was doomed to be tied, the raven expectorates, his seed into his mate's mouth. and Ham was smitten in his skin." Talmud Bavli, Sanhedrin 108b. The nature of Ham's "smitten" skin is unexplained, but latter commentaries described this as a darkening of skin. A later note to the text states that the "smitten" skin referred to the blackness of descendents, and a later comment by rabbis in the Bereshit Rabbah asserts that Ham himself emerged from the ark black-skinned. 2, 3 The Zohar states that Ham's son Canaan "darkened the faces of mankind". 4 edit. Early and Early Modern Christian interpretations. Many pre-modern Christian sources discuss the curse of Ham in connection with race and slavery: Origen (circa 185 c. 254): “For the Egyptians are prone to a degenerate life and quickly sink to every slavery of the vices. Look at the origin of the race and you will discover that their father Cham, who had laughed at his father’s nakedness, deserved a judgment of this kind, that his son Chanaan should be a servant to his brothers, in which case the condition of bondage would prove the wickedness of his conduct. Not without merit, therefore, does the discolored posterity imitate the ignobility of the race, Non ergo immerito ignobilitatem decolor posteritas imitatur.” Homilies on Genesis 16.1 more to come, Tamara |

77 | Praise Dance Wrong Worship? | Ps 149:3 | Tamara Brewington | 205690
Dearest Doc, You said; I've yet to see any examples in North America of so-called "praise dancing" that reflected a reverential fear of God, and an effort to honor Him in the spirit in which He commands. Instead, it is always something man centered, with exceedingly fleshly aspects. Take the flesh out of it, and there might be some measure of hope of the Holy Spirit's involvement (Galatians 5:17). Could you please expound a bit more here about what you see would be the fleshly aspects and what would be a true display of the reverential fear? No aruguments or disagreements being fired here... How are we to know what is in folks hearts when they praise the Lord by dance? If we saw African Christians moving differently than American Christias move, would we say it was not reverential in the fear of God because it was different? David danced out of his clothes in pure worship of God in joy that the Ark was being returned to its proper place. His wife found that undignified, ungodly, and a disgrace before God and men, she was wrong. I am pretty sure David got fairly active there or he couldn't have danced out of his clothes. Would we, if we were seeing him have felt that his worhship was to "me centered" becuase it was not dignified or even reverential in form? I was under the impression that we should praise the Lord from the heart, whatever the mode and not worry about appearances, with all our heart. I am not insinuating that you are saying different and this is not the beginning of a fruitless argument or an entrance into an ignoring of good advice. You got me to praying and thinking some more about this is all. What do you think? God's Grace To You, Tamara |

80 | very few accept the Lord today | Gen 6:5 | Tamara Brewington | 205680
Dear Charlo, Genesis 6:5 Then the Lord saw that the wickedness of man was great on the earth, and that every intent of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. Man's heart is infinitely wicked and no one on their own recognizance comes to God without the acitvity of the Holy Spirit, the cross and the Father to draw them to God and salvation. It has always been this way, there are less people who will come to Christ than there are those who will be going to hell. Hell is going to be bursting at the seams, but there will be a whole lot of room in heaven and the New Jerusalem because man is depraved. God's Day To You, Tamara |
