Bible Question: An unsaved co-worker asked me if I believe in ghost, she says her 2yr old niece has been waking up every night crying that she sees a man in her room the family believes it is a ghost. My question is how do I explain my beliefs(scriptures) on the supernatural without scaring the poor girl to death? |
Bible Answer: Dear heart, Don't explaim anything about what you know about why evil is doing anything to a child, you are right it will only scare. The best thing to do with a child that may or may not be able understand the salvation of Jesus Christ is to tell her that Jesus loves her and read her passages of the Bible that speak about God protecting from evil. I would only do this if you are already close to the parents and have a relationship with the girl. The parents obviously have to be given the gospel in order to get the real spiritual guidance they need in order to have a godly peacful home. Don't get discouraged about helping the best help you can give them my dear is your prayers every day and by encouraging them to come to church to hear the gospel and by continuing to be friends with them and be a real support to them by telling them that you are going to pray for them. You can also offer to pray with them and pray for their salvation as well as the little girl while they are all present with you together and offer to study the Bible with them. Perhaps your compassion is something God will use to help them know Him. Don't throw away an excellent opportunity to be a loving Christian to an unsaved family in crisis, this is why we are here right? To provide a light to a dying world? Hope, faith, love, but the greatest of these is love, Tamara |
