Bible Question: An unsaved co-worker asked me if I believe in ghost, she says her 2yr old niece has been waking up every night crying that she sees a man in her room the family believes it is a ghost. My question is how do I explain my beliefs(scriptures) on the supernatural without scaring the poor girl to death? |
Bible Answer: Dear Praidup, I think you're barking up the wrong tree. We all do it from time to time. People have all sorts of problems. They state them in various ways. They even think that if they could get one particular problem or another solved, everything would be fine from then on in. Of course, we know that your co-worker and her family have just one huge problem: they've offended a just and holy God and continue in every way to offend Him. Unless they find a solution to that issue, no other solutions will matter. So what I'm suggesting is this: Don't get distracted by their stated issues. Keep pointing to the cross. They need to understand that they are doomed sinners. Then, and only then, can the balm of the Gospel -- the good news -- be applied. In Him, Doc PS I think our Brother Steve made a very good point, too. |
