61 | true saving faith | Heb 11:1 | teragram123 | 66379
Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. Faith is not believing in spite of the evidence but obeying in spite of the consequences. Dynamic faith involves the whole person... mind will and emotions... The mind understands the truth The heart desires the truth, but the will must act upon the truth |

James 2:18 Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works. Faith alone justifies, but the faith that justifies is never alone - John Calvin |

63 | CONDITIONAL ETERNAL SECURITY | 2 Pet 1:10 | teragram123 | 62542
CONDITIONAL ETERNAL SECURITY Following is support of the belief of “conditional” eternal security... Faith must strive.. show itself by “works” One never looses his freedom of this choice to serve the Lord and choose righteousness. No glory is given to God when a so called believer is “locked into” a relationship and more than a person bound to a marriage where there is no love. Though the marriage remains intact to the natural eye, in essence, the marriage is no longer a working relationship. Relationship without love, results in bondage, not freedom. Christ has delivered us from bondage of sin, not merely to be in bondage to HIM. We remain with a freewill. Unconditional salvation removes the freewill. Many who claim this erroneous doctrine are heard saying “I couldn’t go to hell if I wanted to”. How foolish! Will a just a Holy God force someone to live eternally in a place he did not desire with his whole heart? Never has God said He had to prove His love to us beyond the sacrifice of love on the Cross of Calvary; but many times and many ways He cried to the heart of His followers. “if” you love me, keep my commandments. Love is not proven by a relationship that cannot be unbroken. Obedience must have the freewill option to disobey or else the freedom of choice is taken away. It is not longer obedience but slavery and bondage. Only by the element of freedom to disobey, does obedience shine forth as an act of love. If one can never “loose” his salvation, satan would have no reason to tempt, indeed there would be not temptation if one could not “forsake” the way. God never forces His followers to follow, they freely choose and freely “continue”. The references that are often used to support the “Un conditional Eternal Security” view are: John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 10:27-28 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: [28] And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. Romans 8:38-39 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, [39] Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. The New Testament teaches the possibility of backsliding from and forsaking of the truth. Apostasy - “falling away”.. abandonment of the revealed truth. Exodus 12:21-23 Then Moses called for all the elders of Israel, and said unto them, Draw out and take you a lamb according to your families, and kill the passover. [22] And ye shall take a bunch of hyssop, and dip it in the blood that is in the bason, and strike the lintel and the two side posts with the blood that is in the bason; and none of you shall go out at the door of his house until the morning. [23] For the Lord will pass through to smite the Egyptians; and when he seeth the blood upon the lintel, and on the two side posts, the Lord will pass over the door, and will not suffer the destroyer to come in unto your houses to smite you. This passage is referred to by Paul as a type of the “Passover Lamb - Christ” 1 Cor. 5:7 Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our Passover is sacrificed for us: These “believers were warned very clearly to “Remain” under the protection or be destroyed by the death angel. Hebrews 6:1-9 Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God, [2] Of the doctrine of baptisms, and of laying on of hands, and of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment. [3] And this will we do, if God permit. [4] For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost, [5] And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come, [6] If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame. [7] For the earth which drinketh in the rain that cometh oft upon it, and bringeth forth herbs meet for them by whom it is dressed, receiveth blessing from God: [8] But that which beareth thorns and briers is rejected, and is nigh unto cursing; whose end is to be burned. [9] But, beloved, we are persuaded better things of you, and things that accompany salvation, though we thus speak. |

64 | being clean escaped | 2 Pet 2:20 | teragram123 | 62544
This does not sound like one that is unconditionally secure thought clearly saved from his sin at one time... “being clean escaped and after they have escaped the pollutions of the world” Truthfully we could never excuse this and say “they were never a clean sow/dog in the first place” Apostates will suffer the loss of their souls. Compare the parable of the sower.... seed took root... sprung up “for a while” Luke 8:5 A sower went out to sow his seed: and as he sowed, some fell by the way side; and it was trodden down, and the fowls of the air devoured it. [6] And some fell upon a rock; and as soon as it was sprung up, it withered away, because it lacked moisture. [7] And some fell among thorns; and the thorns sprang up with it, and choked it. [8] And other fell on good ground, and sprang up, and bare fruit an hundredfold. And when he had said these things, he cried, He that hath ears to hear, let him hear. This clearly shows a beginning but a lack of “continuance” in the truth. Matthew 24:13 But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. Luke 14:28-30 For which of you, intending to build a tower, sitteth not down first, and counteth the cost, whether he have sufficient to finish it? [29] Lest haply, after he hath laid the foundation, and is not able to finish it, all that behold it begin to mock him, [30] Saying, This man began to build, and was not able to finish. 2 Cor. 8:6 Insomuch that we desired Titus, that as he had begun, so he would also finish in you the same grace also. 58 TIME THE TERM “if ye” is used in the New Testament alone... saying that a promise hinges on a “condition” if ye .... 1 Thes. 3:8 For now we live, if ye stand fast in the Lord. John 15:6-10 If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned. [7] If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you. [8] Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples. [9] As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love. [10] If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love. 1 Cor. 9:24 Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain. 2 Cor. 13:5 Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates? Rev. 2:11 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; He that overcometh shall not be hurt of the second death. Rev. 2:26 And he that overcometh, and keepeth my works unto the end, to him will I give power over the nations: Rev. 3:5 He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels. Rev. 21:7 He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son. What is implied to those DO NOT overcome? Apostasy is more than a falling, but rather a purposeful forsaking. 2 Thes. 2:3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; FALLING AWAY - apostasia, defection from truth (properly the state) ["apostasy"] :- falling away, forsake One can not forsake what he has not yet embraced, nor fall away from what he never joined himself too. Compare Demos... Col. 4:14 Luke, the beloved physician, and Demas, greet you. Philemon 1:24 Marcus, Aristarchus, Demas, Lucas, my fellowlabourers. Paul acted under the power of the gifts of the Spirit ... he would have “discerned a false believer” had Demas not “really been saved”. Yet we see that Demas became an apostate.. forsook Paul and returned to the “pollutions of the world” 2 Tim. 4:10 For Demas hath forsaken me, having loved this present world, and is departed unto Thessalonica; Crescens to Galatia, Titus unto Dalmatia. Paul compared the walk with Christ to a race... ONLY those that continue to the end win the prize. |

67 | Power is for service... not fame! | 1 John 3:6 | teragram123 | 58116
This is the purpose of grace... to enable a believer to live the life before the world.Luke 10:19 Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you. Acts 1:7-8 And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power. [8] But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth. Power is for service... not fame! |

71 | shew thee my faith by my works | 1 John 3:12 | teragram123 | 63610
The righteousness of the saints will cause an anger from the self righteous. Thus the wheat is clearly separated from the tares. Tares grow in the same field (church setting) as the true wheat. The time of the harvest reveals the true from the false. The true will have the fruit of the Spirit. The wheat and tares parable is not about sinners vs saints but rather saints and the “so called saints”... or hypocrites. Not living what they say they believe in. Matthew 7:20 Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them. Cain was angry when he was not recieved. His works were not according to God’s HOLY demands. Note that when Christ came and visited the 7 churches of Revelation, each time He said “I know thy works”... Not once did He say I see your heart! Paul knew the truth - James 2:18 Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works. |

72 | mockers of the true way of holiness | 1 John 3:12 | teragram123 | 63611
Cain was of the evil one... his father satan. The Jewish leaders of Christ’s day were also of their father.... satan. John 8:42-47 Jesus said unto them, If God were your Father, ye would love me: for I proceeded forth and came from God; neither came I of myself, but he sent me. [43] Why do ye not understand my speech? even because ye cannot hear my word. [44] Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it. [45] And because I tell you the truth, ye believe me not. [46] Which of you convinceth me of sin? And if I say the truth, why do ye not believe me? [47] He that is of God heareth God's words: ye therefore hear them not, because ye are not of God. There have always been mockers of the true way of holiness. But God has not changed nor will He change His standard. Jude 1:17-23 But, beloved, remember ye the words which were spoken before of the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ; [18] How that they told you there should be mockers in the last time, who should walk after their own ungodly lusts. [19] These be they who separate themselves, sensual, having not the Spirit. [20] But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost, [21] Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life. [22] And of some have compassion, making a difference: [23] And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh. |

73 | gold refined | Rev 3:18 | teragram123 | 63049
Rev. 3:18 I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see. GOLD by Rev. Martin Sharlow The Lord has been showing me that all of creation is a pattern, or better yet; a picture of the Lord. About a week or so ago, I was panning gold and I became extremely frustrated with the fact that there was so much fool’s gold in the creek. I could see this as a pattern but I just could not get it in focus. So I brought it up at home to John and Connie saying there had to be a picture here or else God had a big sense of humor. Well, Connie hit upon it almost immediately and then I began to understand the picture. First, understand that gold represents the child of God. While fool’s gold represents the counterfeit. Wherever gold is found, there is almost always a large amount of fool’s gold. It's almost a guarantee. But not so, the other way around. Just because you find fool’s gold doesn't mean gold is there. Fool’s gold comes in many different forms. Each one you have to learn how to identify, because they are not always alike. But they always distract you from the real gold. Real gold is always unique. In fact, it's recommended that you learn what the real gold looks like so you will never be fooled. It always looks the same. It comes in many forms and shapes, but it always has the same luster. But fool’s gold, like mica, looks more like gold than the actual gold. It's shinier, thus it's brighter and sticks out easier. So it actually speaks louder than the gold. Many times I have to eliminate the mica so I can see the real gold. Another true test of gold is that when it's put under pressure it is malleable and doesn't break under pressure. But fool’s gold always breaks and crumbles under pressure. Fool’s gold only reflects light if it is caught in the right angle, while gold always maintains the same luster no matter what angle or where you look at it. Now this actually applies to more than just Christians. It can apply to out pourings or really anything that applies to the Lord. Well I hope this helps you and sorry it took me awhile to get this back to you. http://members.aol.com/GSmith5647/Martin1.html |

74 | title deed to the world | Rev 5:1 | teragram123 | 55707
Cp to Jer 32.6-29... A purchaser of property, wrote the transaction on scroll and sealed with seal. If bankruptcy happens... and land must be forfeited, the title deed would be by Jewish law, to protect the property from being taken from the owners, would be writen on the back side to hold for 7 years, until the owner could redeem the property back. It was than sealed with 7 seals... at that time the seals would be broken and the land would be redeemed. This is a "title deed" that John saw... the title deed to the planet earth. This earth was originally given to Adam, to subdue and fill. He thru willing transgression, forfieited the ownership. satan legally owned the planet up till the time of the cross. A Roman will was sealed with 7 seals Adam was the best champion of mankind- made in the image of God, yet the best of man was not able to go to bat for the human race. Christ the Son of God- more than a mere image of God- but God in flesh/man- Emmanuel! Matthew 4:8 Again, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them; Christ knew satan's legal right to the world, He did not disbute the claim to the world.
