Subject: shew thee my faith by my works |
Bible Note: The righteousness of the saints will cause an anger from the self righteous. Thus the wheat is clearly separated from the tares. Tares grow in the same field (church setting) as the true wheat. The time of the harvest reveals the true from the false. The true will have the fruit of the Spirit. The wheat and tares parable is not about sinners vs saints but rather saints and the “so called saints”... or hypocrites. Not living what they say they believe in. Matthew 7:20 Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them. Cain was angry when he was not recieved. His works were not according to God’s HOLY demands. Note that when Christ came and visited the 7 churches of Revelation, each time He said “I know thy works”... Not once did He say I see your heart! Paul knew the truth - James 2:18 Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works. |
