61 | Knocked out by holy spirit | Matt 16:6 | PastorFloyd | 90480
No, my friend, I am not asking you to base your salvation or healing on my personal experiences from the Lord. I merely mentioned them as a reference point of which I can base my observations on. I agree that Salvation is the highest blessing we can receive from God. But why should we be crippled in our life after we receive Jesus as our Savior? or why should we allow sickness to come upon us even as we are Christians? Jesus did not have any sickness in His Body even though He touched people with leprosy and all kinds of sikness. Nothing in Scripture says that these things came upon Him. He says we are to be like Him. Well, why be sick if He gave us provision to be well? I just learned today that we are not to criticize one another or any other member of the human race because to do so will allow the demon forces to enter your spirit. Now, alot of people do not believe that a Christian can be overcome or be influenced by demons once they accept Jesus, but there I have to differ. Romans 6:16 tells us that to whom we obey, that is whom we will follow. (my interpretation). I'm not going to get into a discussion right now with whether we can or cannot be influenced by demons. That is a whole new doctrine and will open up a whole new can of worms. The way I see it, if you want to be sick then you can. God gave each of us a will. I personally want to build up my faith to the point where nothing can come upon my body that will cause sickness or an infirmity. I have been healed twice from cancer through the direct prayers and by FAITH that God would do as He said He would do. I have seen my wife, crippled from what the doctors did to her through major operations, accept what Jesus had to offer through FAITH and instantly become well. That is what I base my faith on. What Jesus taught us. He did not just teach us to receive Salvation, He taught us to use His Scriptures for what we need. The Bible is not just a book to read. It is a guide to our daily lives and if you want healing, it is in there also. So, if people do not want to believe God for what the Bible gives us, then they don't have to. It is like people blaming the minister for taking some old lady's money. No one forces that lady to give to their ministry. No one sticks a gun into her side and demands that she sends money to a ministry. God said he would cause people to give into our bosum. He did not say it would rain down from heaven, though I also believe if God wanted to do that, He would. The Scriptures say that if we give He will cause men to give back to us (Luke 6:38). People are always slamming the minister for taking millions of dollars from the people. God gave us a will and He can put it upon our hearts to give or not to give but no one is forcing us to give. By the same set of rules, He is not forcing us to accept healing, we can or cannot be sick, by participating in His guidelines for healings. It is our will. I know I am digressing from our conversation but it all falls into the same category. If you want to believe, God will allow you to believe. If you do not want to believe in being "slain in the spirit" you don't have to. I didn't believe in tongues until God showed me what a wonderful experience it is everytime I do and how close I can get to Him by doing so. Most people don't believe in that either. That is their perogative. We can go on and on by this doctrine but it all boils down to the same thing, do you believe in it or not. Personally I do. |

You are right in saying that there is no scripture reference for being slain in the spirit. I have worked under men of God who have "poured oil" on a dead person and have seen them raised from the dead. I am sorry for the words "deluded fools". It gets my dander up when people have the audacity to comment on the works of a minister who they think is using theatrics for the power of God to heal people. God told us to go out and preach to the whole world, laying hands on those who need it, in the Name of Jesus. I can't give you scripture for those who are "slain in the spirit." I was the worst skeptic in the world and I didn't believe it myself until God showed it to me one night and I hit the floor also. I can only describe it to you as a great burst of power that seems to overwhelm your mind with love. When that overwhelming love pours into your spirit in such a powerful way, the human mind cannot accept it and you will literally hit the floor, "slain in the spirit." What matters it, if people are healed by being slain in the spirit? Sure there are some who use theatrics. But the majority overshadow them all. I would rather see someone do back-flips off a podium if that is what it takes to see them healed, than to tell them there is no basis for being slain in the spirit. There are many who lose their healings after a few days, but they have not followed up on the teachings of how to keep their healings. Satan uses any means to take away the blessings of God. I have seen people healed and a couple of weeks later be right back in the same fix they were in before. But, explain this to me Ed, if they were healed and they lost their healing, how did they get healed in the first place? Through theatrics? |

Just because it hasn't happened to you, don't use that as a criteria to condemn those that have. The Holy Spirit uses many methods to heal people. Slain in the Spirit is only one of many, which I might add, has always been a controversary to those who don't know. The Scripture in the Old Testament that says, "Touch not mine anointed and do my prophets no harm," is appropo here. Theatrics? Have you ever poured anointing oil over a dead person and proclaim life into them by the Name of Jesus, and seen them rise from the dead? Have you ever laid hands on someone and proclaimed the healing power of Jesus Christ, and seen them rise to their feet, completely healed? Don't comdemn those who do. Theatrics? Dear God! If someone has been crippled all their life and Jesus heals them by any means, that is cause for celebration. For show and for money? You poor deluded fools, you have shown yourselves for what you are. Like the King told Paul during his trial. "All this learning has driven you insane." Maybe you should get back to the beginning and use a little faith. Sure people leave the meetings of healers the same way they arrived. They are asking the healer to heal them when they should be focusing in on the One who heals. I would like to see thousands of men and women use "theatrics" to heal people if that is what it takes. Jesus spit on a man and healed him. Is that theatrics? Not to many years ago there was an old farmer from the mid-west that would spit on his hand and place it on the part of a person's body that was sick. That person would be healed instantly. Is that theatrics? Give us more theatrics if that is what it takes to get people healed. You ought to be ashamed of yourselves. Get off your duffs and get out there and heal people by the Name of Jesus, instead of knocking others for doing so. You folks remind me of Emmaus, remember what happened to him. |

What do you base your faith on? If God is not in everyone of our services also then what are we having services for. I once stated to a new Christian that I went to a certain church and it felt like God was absent from their services. He stated that when he goes to a new church, he takes God with him. Sounds like good advice. |

Two young men are alive today who WERE dead. Clinically dead, because of faith in the "Stripes of Jesus. As one who has been healed of cancer two different times in this life after being given up by doctors, "by the stripes of Jesus," faith has a beginning and end here. Without faith nothing can be accomplished from God. With faith, "All things are possible with God." You had faith to believe that Jesus is the Savior when you became born-again, that same faith is the key to your healing also. Accept it and stand in faith. Jesus is not dead, neither is the healing that He gave us as He shed His Blood for us. You want to live with sickness and infirmities? That is your right. After all, God gave us a will to do what we want and to believe what we want. |

68 | SHARE LOVE IF JESUS AND HIS HOLY WORD | Rom 8:24 | PastorFloyd | 90032
I believe that the Scripture in John 3:16 says it all. If we have believed in the Father that Jesus is the Son of God, that He died for us and was resurrected, that is the greatest miracle of all. In this day and age, a lot of people do not believe in healing miracles, miracles of prosperity, etc. Jesus is the reason for all this and our Faith in Jesus is the result of our faith that allows us to receive healings, get prosperity and so on. I have walked with Jesus for 35 years and they are years of great miracles, both for myself, my family and ministry and for others that I have followed along with. I have walked with great men of God, such as Dr. Thomas E. Slayton and his wife Gail, who through their faith in Jesus brought their son back from the dead when he had been dead for 45 minutes and in a brain-dead coma for seven months. Also the Pastor which I am affiliated with now, Pastor Robert Johnston and his wife Pam who brought their son Aaron back from the dead through their faith in Jesus. Those two boys have become a mainstay for their respective churches, based on the Word of God. |

69 | First we must walk before God | Gen 17:1 | PastorFloyd | 90030
What are we going to say when we confront God on the day of Judgement? What is He going to say to us? Is He going to say good man or is He just going to look at us in grief? If we don't walk with God everyday of our lives; if we don't spend time with Him, and I don't mean a simple prayer; if we don't fellowship with him everday what kind of relationship will we have with Him. God created man to be a companion for Him. To be a friend that He could talk to. So many people ignore Him or do not follow up their relationship with Him and that grieves Him. He is God! But He is also one of the best friends that you could ever have. |
