41 | Ask for a cold, and ye shall receive it? | Matt 16:6 | PastorFloyd | 90816
The main gist of what the Bible is teaching is the Salvation of Jesus Christ Hank. But why should I live in sickness or poverty because you want me to? I don't care whether you or anyone else believes that Christ died for good health or prosperity, Hank. I am going to continue following my beliefs Hank because it works for ME and MY FAMILY. I repeat once again Hank: DO A WORD SEARCH ON THE SCRIPTURES FOR HEALING. READ THEM WITH ON OPEN MIND HANK. READ THEM HANK! DON'T RELY ON OTHER PEOPLE TO READ THEM FOR YOU. I did not get my healing by listening to Alexander Scourby reading the scriptures. I got my healing and prosperity by studying the Word of God myself, over a period of time. Course if there is anyone out there who can read the scriptures once and get that same thing, great. all the more power to you. You know what Hank? I know that you are again going to ask me to put the scriptures where my mouth is and I tell you again and again and again do a word search of the scriptures of healing. While your at it, do a word search on prosperity, you will be surprised on the number of scriptures that God put in His Word on prosperity. Do a word search on the laying on of hands also. Do a word search on the boundaries that God set in place when He created the earth. There are a great number of word searches that you can do on the different persecutions that we are going through in this world. God has an answer for everyone of them. FIND THEM YOURSELF. THAT IS HOW YOU BUILD UP YOUR FAITH. STUDY TO SHOW YOURSELF APPROVED. |

42 | Ask for a cold, and ye shall receive it? | Matt 16:6 | PastorFloyd | 90813
If that is the occult God help us all to reach that step. I want what that man has and that man is used by God. His teaachings have helped me in my Christian walk immensly. You don't want them? Don't use them. I once heard a man get raging mad because I did not believe the way he did about water baptism. Does that refute what Jesus taught His followers? I was once asked by an Armenian why we teach that Jesus had brothers and sisters when HIS Bible states that Jesus had no brothers and sisters. I was praying about my answer to the man and the Spirit of God said, "What does it matter? If it takes away from the Salvation of Jesus Christ it is wrong. If it does not take away from Salvation what does it matter. You either believe it or not. You either believe in Jesus's scriptures or not. You can intrepret them anyway you want to just do not refute the Salvation of Jesus Christ." HELLO! |

43 | Knocked out by holy spirit | Matt 16:6 | PastorFloyd | 90811
Again we fall back onto the scriptures in Matthew 16:6. I cannot give you a scripture that pertains to being knocked out by the Holy Spirit except John 18:4-7 or Revelation 1:7. They do not unequivacally say that this is for slain in the spirit. Why don't we let it go Hank? I can't convince you that there is anything for this view and I refuse to be drawn into an endless series of discussions on what I do and what I don't believe. I base all my obersvations and interpretations on the Bible. You base yours on the same thing and we go round and round. Believe what you want to Hank. These people that are being slain in the spirit are not bothering you or me by doing so. I see many, many, many of them that are doing it in the natural and many of then don't even know why. They are doing it because they are expected to do it. I pray that someday you have the same experience that I and many others have had. In the meantime, believe what you want to Hank.

46 | Will you see lost loved ones in heaven? | Bible general Archive 1 | PastorFloyd | 90804
In the early part of this century the Azusa street revival started up. There was a young reporter in Chicago that wrote an article about the attention the Azuse street revival was getting and he did not like all the attention that was focused on God and stated this: "I do not believe in God. If there is a God I do not believe that He is all-powerful, omniscent. etc. etc. He went on and on in his article and he ended it by saying this. 'If there is a God let Him strike me dead with lightening tomorrow at noon in the town square.' (or something to that effect). Everyone waited with apprehension for God to do something. Nothing happened. A week later an older reporter wrote a statement that went like this: "Two ants were crawling across the prairie and they came across a set of railroad tracks. They crawled upon one of the tracks and they could see that it went off in both directions as far as the eye could see. The younger ant demanded: "What is this thing that I am standing on?" The older ant said, "That is the rail to the Union Pacific railroad." "What is it doing here," the younger ant responded with anger. The older ant replied, "The President of the Union Pacific railroad ordered that it be put down here and that it should go across the United States from border to border." The younger ant responded indignantly: "I don't believe that there is a President of the Union Pacific railroad, and if there is I challenge him to come out here and step on me." Get my point? |

I do not respond with silence. I have a job to go to and I can only get on this forum once in a great while. I have at this time 47 E-Mails that I have received and have not been able to answer. While we are on Job, do you know that Job lost all that he haD IN 45 MINUTES? He received a double portion back of all that he lost because he refused to back down on the Word of God. I haven't talked to you before I have only read what you have sent on this forum but I can see that you have a great bitterness towards someone. I understand that you are in a wheelchair, I did not put you there sir. If I can receive the healing power that Jesus has given us in this world why should that make you or anyone else mad? I do not get mad at your theology RJJ, why should you get mad at mine. My Bible says that i can have what I ask God for. It does not say that I have to go along with what everyone else believes. If you do not want healing and I believe that you do. No one wants to be sick. Find the scriptures that pertain to your problem. STAND ON THEM NO MATTER WHAT ANYONE SAYS. How long have you been in a wheelchair? A year? Ten Years? Your whole lifetime? God did not put you in that wheelchair RJJ and you cannot give him Glory by staying in that wheelchair. I have been sick and now I am well RJJ. BY THE POWER OF JESUS CHRIST! I have been poor. I do not like poor. I have found the scriptures that pertained to being rich and have stood on them for years, I have started coming into the riches that God says I can have. I am prosperous. Not by your standards, but by my standards, RJJ. MY STANDARDS! I do not want to be sick! I do not want to be poor! I want to be closer to God but I have to obey His rules. Not the rules that the people on this forum lay out. Everyone who e-mails me stands on the scripture in Matthew 16:6. Why does it get everybody's dander up because a few of us in the Christian community believe in God's healing power? It makes no sense to me why anyone would refute the scriptures on healing. RJJ do a word search on healing, both in the Old Testament and the New Testament. I did! I found 22 closely-typed pages of scriptures that said God wants me healed. I STOOD ON THEM FOR YEARS RJJ. I have been healed, RJJ. I will not let anyone take them away from me. |

What about the one which states: With His stripes we are healed. Ever read that one with an open mind? How about Deuteronomy 28:1-15? Course that was in the Old Testament and we don't have any right to use anything out of the Old Testament. Right? Why do we even have the Old Testament if we are not to use the scriptures in there. I guess this means that I can't use Psalms 91 for protection either. Or the 23rd Psalm. Or the 7,000 promises that God gave me, either good or bad. Check with the Jews, folks, they believe in the Old Testament. According to scripture we are "GRAFTED" into the same family as the Jews. |

Hank: Read the New Testament. All though the New Testament Jesus and His followers laid hands on the people and they were healed, IF THEY BELIEVED. Hank, If you do not want to be healed or be prosperous, that is your right. I read where scripture says God is no respecter of persons. If they received healing then that means I can receive healing. (My interpretation). Hank, if you want to be sick while worshipping Jesus Christ, YOU CAN. God said He will give you whatever you ask for. Read the Scriptures on healing with an open mind. Don't try to put something in there that is not there. Careful Hank! I have seen many instances where a Christian ridiculed a man of God and got something they weren't asking for. My son slammed a man of God and received a sickness that he knew was caused by his slanderous accusations. There was no doubt in his mind what caused it either. He does not slander a man of God now. I will not slam you or anyone elses ministry, I suggest that we do not do it on this forum. We can disagree without becoming slanderous to the body of Christ. Hank: Did Jesus ever heal anyone spiritually? Show me a scripture that pertains to it. I believe the WHOLE Bible and if you can give me a scripture that says we are to be sick and poor in this world I will follow it up with one that says we are to be well. I once heard a minister preach a sermon at a minister's conference and the gist of what he was saying is this: "If you want your church to prosper, do not tell your congregation that tithing went out with the Apostles. Then ask them for donations to pay the bills. It will not work! If you do not want healing physically Hank, don't ask for it! I can guarantee you will not get it. Hank: If you believe that God wants us sick then why do you go to a doctor to get medicine to get well? Don't you know that you are going against God? Remember what Nicodemus or (some guy who was a follower of Jesus), said, "If we are fighting against man this will fail, but if we are fighting against God, God will prevail." (My interpretation). If your child or grandchild is dying, Hank, don't ask God to help him or her. That would be totally against the Word of God. After all, Hank, let them die and they will be healed spiritually. Why shouldn't I believe that I serve a compassionate God instead of one that wants me to be sick? If sickness helps us to become closer to God then just before your kids go to school, hit them on the head with a hammer. The pain will cause them to get closer to God. Course it may cause them to disrespectful to you too Hank and cuss you out. |

Jeff: I am delighted in the scriptures that you have found. It may lay to rest this controversay that is going on. God has given us a great many blessings. My family have all benefited from the scriptures on healings. I especially like the ones in Psalms 37:4-5 and Isaiah 65:16. I did a word study on the word blessings. Know what it said? "Abundance in every aspect of your life." Again, thank you for your insight. I expect to hear from you again. I shall invoke a blessing on you, your family and your ministry as it says in Isaiah 65:16. I'm still chuckling over those scriptures. Yours in Christ Floyd |

54 | Ask for a cold, and ye shall receive it? | Matt 16:6 | PastorFloyd | 90765
Scripture says if two agree in prayer they shall receive whatever they have asked. Right? I have also found (and I realize maybe you skeptics haven't ran across this), the devil can grant you what you want by agreeing on something also. Does anyone out there refute the idea that Satan is the god of this world? A good friend and I were talking one day and he mentioned the fact the everytime he gets in the shower he has to wear ear plugs because when he gets water in his left ear, invariably a fungus infection follows. He asked me, "Do you know what I mean?" I said, "Yes!" We both agreed that water in your left ear would cause a fungus. I agreed with him. Understand! We both agreed that this would happen. Know what? If I get water in MY LEFT EAR I get a fungus infection. Now, I'm not a scholar or a theologian, and I don't have to have a house fall on me to know well enough that the god of this world has some power. But, I also know that Jesus said, "I will protect you if you will believe in me and my Word; and I have 22 pages of healing scriptures in my files that say God wants me healed. It also says to ask and you shall receive. Either by my God or by the god of this world. The Word says ask and you shall receive. It does not say this only pertains to the good things of this world. Respectively PastorFloyd |

I can say one thing and you another and both of us can interprete it to mean different things. I stand on scripture as much as anyone, but I also base my observations of personal experiences and I ask no one to believe them. I cannot back some of them by scriptures but I have spent considerable amounts of time with God and I believe I know the voice of God. If I'm wrong that is between me and God and he will correct me. I believe I have a rapport with God to the extent that I can understand His admonishements and His praises. Either, I can live with. If I make some profound statements then He will correct me on them and I will have to answer for every word out of my mouth. Whether it comes from my tongue or my fingertips. I say this in love and compassion and I apologize if I have hurt anyone's faith.

I'm not saying that all saints that got sick and died were not in faith. What I am saying is that we can be sick or we can be well. What gets me is that people are saying that Jesus took a beating and shed His Blood for nothing. He died on the cross for us and our salvation but He also shed His innocent blood for us and our healing. God knew this was going to happen but He made provision for sickness and infirmities by the shed blood of HIs Son Jesus. Now, if you or anyone else don't want to believe that you can be made well by that blood then that is your right. But if a new Christian comes on this forum and asks if itt is alright for us to be healed and someone says that went out with the death of the disciples then sir, that is wrong. I believe that Jesus shed His Blood for MY healing. You don't want it? Don't ask for it. God said, "Let us make man in our image." Do you see God in sickness? Do you see Him in a wheelchair? Do you see Him dying by inches with a debilitating disease? Read some of the writings of E.G. Lake; Smith Wigglesworth; Kenneth Hagin; Kenneth Copeland; Dr. Thomas E. Slayton and his wife Gail. If they could believe for healings then I can believe for healings. God said, He is no respector of persons. If they received it, if they lay hands on people and they get healed in the Name of Jesus, then I have that right and privilege also. If you don't want it, don't believe it. How many scripture verses do you need to make you believe that God wants us healed? Ten? Twenty? a hundred? Do a Bible search of the scriptures based on healings, I did. I found 22 pages of scriptures telling me that God wants me well and prosperous. I don't have to have a house fall on me to know that it is dangerous to be under one without a foundation. |

60 | Knocked out by holy spirit | Matt 16:6 | PastorFloyd | 90481
I too believe the Holy Spirit is grieved by what His followers are doing to one another. God gave each of us a will and we can believe what we want to. I find it hard to imagine why anyone would want to be sick when God gave us provisions to be well. But, again, that is their right and I will not impose my beliefs on them if they do not want them. If they ask why I base my faith on being well I will tell them. It is their right to believe my obeservations, based on what the Bible teachs us, or not. By the same token it my right, to believe the whole Bible, not just the parts I want to take out. I believe this: "Don't knock what you haven't experienced yourself." Scripture says: "Ask and you shall receive." An ex-cop, turned minister, once told me this: He said" "if you hear a judge impose a sentence on a person and he uses the word WILL: Such as, you will serve 25 to life. That person, most likely will serve a few years and then has the opportunity to get out on parole. BUT if that same judge uses the words: You SHALL serve 25 years to life, then that person shall serve at least 25 years before coming up for parole. By the same token if God says we don't have to be sick or poor, then we have the chance, based upon our faith to be just the opposite. It is our will that He takes into consideration and I agree that and I believe the Holy Spirit is grieved by our actions and our words. Right now there is a controversary going on at this forum that being "slain in the spirit" is not scriptural. They are right, it is not. There is no reference point in God's Word to base it on, but that doesn't necessarily mean God can't do it. Again: If you haven't experienced it don't knock it. I find to my amazement that people would rather be sick and have crippling diseases, rather than to believe the Word of God. They want to save face once they make a statement and go on with what the enemy gives them. I shall pray for you my brother, that God shall continue to work through you to give sage advice. |
