461 | antichrist or Antichrist? | 1 John 2:22 | Scribe | 44230
Both ideas are correct. The Antichrist will enforce a doctrine and belief system that He is God and God and Christ are not. The Antichrist will enforce a doctrine that Christ was not Divine. That Christ was not God in the flesh. It will get bad enough that one must recieve a mark to confess to the world that he has denounced his belief in Christ. This would be I suppose an anti-baptism in the Antichrist. This teaching is satan inspired, the Antichrist being a body satan uses when he is cast down to earth after the rapture of the saints. The teaching that Christ is not Divine and not God in the flesh was being presented when John wrote and so John says even now there are many antichrists. He was not trying to teach that the prophecy did not mean a Man would come that would be an Antichrist as Daniel said. John knew they all knew that prophecy. John was just saying that anyone that teaches the same thing that the Antichrist will teach is of the same spirit of the antichrist which is the devil and the powers of darkness. So anyone who tells you that Jesus is not God in the Flesh is of the antichrist. This would include most cults. |

462 | christians don't sin??? | 1 John 3:9 | Scribe | 41124
1 John 3:9 Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God. You have to read the context of John 3 and you will notice that John has already stated that if we sin we can ask for forgiveness and recieve cleansing from all unrrighteousness. If John says that then it must be that he does not mean it as it may sound. John would not say. If you sin ... do this.. and also say.. you cannot sin it is not possible. He would be contradicting himself and only an insane person would speak that way. So what other meaning can you apply to someone saying You cannot do something? It would have to be that same way we speak when we say "I just can't do that" meaning not that it is a physical impossibility for us but that we cannot bring our selves to do such a thing. So if you read the verse in that light you see that John is saying...If you are born of God, (by the word of God) the Word of God is internalized within you by that supernatural thing that God does whereby with the eternal Word of God he is working in you that which He pleases, and you will not be able if you are born of God to stay in sin, you will have to repent, you will have a nervous breakdown if you don't. You will find that the Spirit of God in you as your own thoughts is screaming in your spiritual ears.. "I can't do this, I Can't keep doing this, I can't live this way, This is not what God has called me to., I am never going to be happy doing this, I will never have peace until I repent... etc) But on the other point about Paul. Read the context of what Paul wrote in Romans 7-8. You will notice a definite topic and that is that of living under the law and why he was guilty of sin and how that the Faith live freed him from sin and the bondage of sin he was never free from under his religious efforts to try to be righteous. Paul never taught that christians that are Born again have to live with a struggle of always sinning when they really don't want to. |

Thank you brother Tim. Amen, I agree. But saying it that way is not as fun as "You will find that the Spirit of God in you as your own thoughts is screaming in your spiritual ears.. "I can't do this, I Can't keep doing this, I can't live this way, This is not what God has called me to., I am never going to be happy doing this, I will never have peace until I repent... etc) " God Bless You. |

465 | eternal security | 1 John 5:11 | Scribe | 43061
When speaking of eternal security are there denominations that actually believe that a christian could have a porn addiction, not repent, and die with it, and still go to heaven? I am trying to understand what it is that is being said by many concerning this subject. I know that the saint who walks in faith will repent of sins the Lord convicts them of and so they always have eternal security. I know that if a christian falls into a sin they are not lost. I know that even if they were to fall and then die in the same hour before they repented, it is hardly fathomable that they are eternally lost. But is practicing a porn addiction 'faith?' So then can such a one really claim the promise of eternal security? Shouldn't that christian fear eternal hell?

467 | eternal security | 1 John 5:11 | Scribe | 43158
Thank you. Once again you are saying the same thing that I am. You are saying that those that LIVE that way habitually do NOT have the promise of eternal life. And this is true. I cringe when I hear doctrines that for anyone listening or reading sound as if the speaker is saying a 'christian' can sin like the world and still go to heaven but loose rewards. I am glad you know that is not true. I agree that no saint can be plucked from the Father's hand. I do wonder sometimes when I hear this quoted why the context is not mentioned His sheep hear his voice and follow him and no man can pluck them from His hand. It seems that if the sheep are not hearing his voice or following him they are not His sheep at all. I suppose my main point is never to cast doubt on the eternal security of the believer, but rather to warn the froward. The coming of the Lord draws nigh and I tremble at the idea of what will happen to some I know who have no sense of danger for their soul and who claim salvation while walking in all manner of sins of the flesh. I see a night and day difference between repenting of sin (and all sin was paid for at the cross) and living in known sin without repenting. If people comfort themselves in their imaginations that they can "fall and repent later" then they are nigh unto cursing. If they are sincere in their repentance, even if they fall a thousand times God will lift them up. Of course what really happens is if they are sincere in their repenting they will get victory over sins a lot sooner than they may think, or it will not take a thousand falls if they are crying out to God to be avenged of their adversary as the widow before the judge in Jesus' parable. The Lord will avenge them and that speedily. It is all about the condition of the heart and that we do have a choice in. Yes we have free will and we can cry out to God this day. And God has established it so that He will not do anything for us unless we ask in faith. Oh I know HE does many things for us that we did not ask for, but this verse still means something and what it means is that we will not fulfill our true destiny until we rise up in fervent faith. James 1:6 But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. I am convinced based on the reading of the Bible that there will be many that will say they are sheep that they cannot be plucked from His hand and Jesus will say, you are a goat and I never knew you, you worker of iniquity. So for argument's sake I agree with all my baptist (and other denominations) brethren that say Once a saint is converted they cannot be lost. But I also hope they will preach to those unconcerned and indifferent souls they see living a life that is wicked that they have not right to claim they are saved or that they are a sheep or that they are in the Father's hand. Why is that important. Because without holiness no man shall see the Lord. God bless you and God bless this forumn for mutual edification and not for fleshly strife. |

468 | we only barely get into heaven by Jesus | 1 John 5:11 | Scribe | 43162
1 Peter 4:18 And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear? Consider it like this. The storm of the century is on the way. Nay the storm of the Millenium. And this storm is the Wrath of an infinitly Holy God. Only those that cleave to Christ with the desperation of man tossed on the sea with only a life float to cleave to will survive. The idea is that of the surety of our shelter in this storm but only for those that put their faith in it as it were a desperate clinging to for life. Do we need to fear that God will let us drown if we get slack? Yes. Heresy you say? NO it is called faith! Faith in God must not relax, lest you find your faith shipwrecked. Does that put the emphasis on you? NO it puts it on Faith. The Faith that comes from God is already given, you do not have to ask for more faith or fear you do not have enough. BUT YOU DO HAVE TO USE WHAT YOU HAVE. God bless you in your study of His Word. |

469 | eternal security | 1 John 5:11 | Scribe | 43411
Thank You farout. I appreciate your testimony. God is so good to us and so full of Mercy. I like this verse. Exodus 34:7 Keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, and that will by no means clear the guilty; visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children, and upon the children's children, unto the third and to the fourth generation. To know the Heart of our Father is to Know the Son. The Fullness of His Grace and Truth has been revealed to us through the Son. And in the light of the Justice and Righteousness of God we appreciate what the Son has done for us. As many great writers of old have preached concerning the balance of the LAW and the GOSPEL, it is a wonderful thing to understand the balance between the Judgement of a Holy God and the Mercy extended toward us through Christ. I appreciate the precious price He paid that I might be made clean. The greater the degree of appreciation the less likely a man will go back to wallowing in the mud. I do not have to be reminded of my past sins because we know it is completely forgiven. I do not have to fear falling if I do what Christ has commanded. Then my house is built upon a rock. And faith trusts the Lord to help me continue doing what He has commanded until the final day. There are at least two kinds of fear in the Bible. The fear that is of man, or the powers of darkness, and the fear that is of GOD. I embrace the fear of God for it is a positive fear. Some would rather call it Reverence. OK but to Revere God is not quite strong enough for me. Maybe if they said. Trembling Reverence. Or Awesome Holy Reverence. Or how about the rest of the passage from Exodus 34:7-8 Keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, and that will by no means clear the guilty; visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children, and upon the children's children, unto the third and to the fourth generation. “And Moses made haste, and bowed his head toward the earth, and worshipped.” If fear of God is something a person feels compelled to explain every time they say it for 'fear'(the negative kind) that someone might think they are afraid of God like they are afraid of a Rothwielder then it would be acceptable to say we should have the ..."make haste, and bow your head toward the earth, and worship Him" kind of fear. This fear Comes to God, not runs from God. This fear does not treat God as your bud that is like you, but reverences God with Love and adoration and Wonder that such a Glorious Holy, Awesome, Unlimited God has allowed you to be His Friend and Fellowship with Him because of what Jesus has done. Since I have been born again and read the Bible and lived my life by faith in Christ receiving of His grace and renewal day by day, I have never lived in fear. I used to be afraid before I was saved. Afraid of many things. But since I was saved I have lived in peace and joy and fear of nothing. However I have had episodes of fear of God as you stated. The negative fear. The fear that I was in danger of hell fire. It has been when I have backslidden. And I was so miserable I could not last more than two weeks without breaking down in repentance. I am sooooooo grateful to God for that fear and dread and feeling that I was in danger of hell fire. I often pray that I would never be so calloused as to pass off sin lightly, that if I were to backslide into a sin or lust of the flesh (of the sort that christians should be rid of within 2 months of their salvation,) that if I should ever go back to those sorts of works of darkness, that I would be so afraid of dieing in that state of sin that I could never find any fun in it. Woe to the man or woman that can backslide into the lusts of the flesh and stay there and not feel the hot breath of hell at their neck. Woe to the man who can call light darkness, and darkness light and say 'may the Lord come again soon' while dragging a wagon load of sin behind him. My prayer for all saints is that their conscience always be tender toward everything that is not pleasing to Christ so that with Joy they are instant to repent as soon as the Lord makes it known to them and if they think for a moment ‘they will hold on to it for a little while longer’ that they will get sick to their stomach at the thought of such a henious act and that they would repent of even the thought of that. This is true christian faith and anything else has been constructed by men of corrupt minds. I say these things to edify not to say you are saying anything different. I am convinced that you would agree with me as most here would. May God Bless you in your study of His Word. |

470 | sin is a sin? | 1 John 5:13 | Scribe | 40995
You know the verse most often used to say that a christian will not sin is the one that says His seed remains in us and we cannot sin. The simple truth is that a born again christian with a history of serving and enjoying God, who falls into a sin will be so miserable that he CANNOT do it or CANNOT STAY there in that sin but must repent and turn back to the One he loves and wants to fellowship with, God. It does not mean a christian will never sin again, but is more expressive as when we say I just can't do that anymore. We don't mean it is physically impossible for us to do the thing but that we just can't endure the misery of sin. A person who is born of God cannot sin. (Cannot just walk in sin and live with it.) the Word of God the eternal seed will work on him until he humbles himself in repentance and shakes off that sin and finds peace again. The man who is born again will gaurd that peace and will not want anything to disturb it. This is where I agree with my Baptist brothers that say a born again saint cannot lose their salvation. The truth is that a Born Again saint will be too miserable in sin to stay there (howbeit one of the reasons they are so miserable is that while in sin they know they are not being saved and have not sure steadfast assurance of their eternal security) This person that may be holding on to a secret lust will have not assurance of salvation. Why? Because he is indeed in danger of Hell Fire and he knows it. |

471 | MARKARIOS, DID YOU READ MY NEW QUESTION? | Jude 1:9 | Scribe | 43879
Revelation 12:7 And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels, Now here is an interesting thing. Michael the archangel warring with satan again? Either It is a repeat of what Jude mentioned and has happened already. Or it is another battle. I believe it is another battle. I also believe that the mention of Jude about Michael disputing about he body of Moses is a hint about this battle in Rev 12 If satan disputed about the body of Moses it would most logically be about the fact that God stepped in and did some sort of supernatural burying. When Peter preached on the day of Pentecost he makes mention of an Old testament prophecy about Jesus body not seeing corruption. This is somehow related. Satan has some sort of legal right to rot a dead corpse in the grave. This because of sin. Now since Jesus never sinned the legal claim of satan to see the body of Christ corrupted was not valid. Something about satan wanting the body of Moses is seen in the reference by Jude. Satan was claiming a legal right to the body of Moses. Now we know that Moses was not raised from the dead then, but somehow I think his body was preserved. But that is my guess. Now in Rev 12 there is another battle between these two figures, Michael and satan. You could logically assume that the battle is over a Body. But this time it is over the BODY (CHURCH) of Christ. You see the saints that are alive at the coming of the Lord are changed in a moment and thier bodies are made incorruptible. Without dieing. So satan is disputing this. Satan is trying to claim he has a legal right to put death on these bodies to corrupt them in the graves, But Michael points to the cross of Christ which makes satan's claim invalid. This I get from the context of the rejoicing saints. They overcame him (his legal claims,) by the blood of the Lamb and the word of their testimony (faith in Jesus Christ) See the warfare in the heavenlies (invisible realm) is not that of cosmic swords slashing through the air and lightning bolts hurled at one another. The battle is more like that of a courtroom. Understanding this is critical to ministry. The saint that walks in sin is legally accused by satan before God and it affects the ability of that saint to do what God has called him to do. The saint the yields to the Holy Spirit in repentance of any sin that God puts his finger on is always full of the Holy Ghost and power and need fear nothing that satan can throw at him. This saint walks in power. The power is from God and not of the saint, but the saint keeps himself connected to the vine by faith and faith is active, faith seeks God. May God Bless you in your study of His word. |

472 | Believer's authority and the devil. | Jude 1:9 | Scribe | 43882
I think it is an example of presumption and ignorance. To pray to the devil is also a very unscriptural practice. Now if satan is speaking to your mind, tempting you to sin, then it is scriptural to say "get thee behind me satan (you can leave out the "thee") it is written.." and then give a scripture that relates to the temptation. And of course when casting out demons it is possible to ask a demon it's name but more often it seems a simple "Come Out in the Name of Jesus" will do. Then there are those that do not come out but by much prayer and fasting, but it is not praying or imploring the demon to come out, but praying to God and fasting so that you are walking in power and faith. Calling Satan names in corporate prayer with the saints always sounds very "in the flesh" to me. The Spirit always leads me to pray the word in faith believing I recieve from God and not to think at all about what the devil may do. What do I care what satan thinks. I receive what I ask from God and there is nothing he can do about it. May God Bless you in you study of His word. |

473 | Why did Satan want Moses bones? | Jude 1:9 | Scribe | 85213
Jude 1:9 Yet Michael the archangel, when contending with the devil he disputed about the body of Moses, durst not bring against him a railing accusation, but said, The Lord rebuke thee. I am assuming you are speaking of this passage in Jude. This is an amazing passage and full of doctrinal truth. First of all you will not find this account in the Old Testament. There are several views about where Jude could have gotten this. I believe that the answer is that it was a tradition among the Jews. There were traditions among the Jews that were full of error and yet they were based on true history. I think Paul referes to the tradition of Jannes and Jambres as true. 2 tim 3:18 I do not believe Jude was quoting from apocryphal material but that more likely the apocryphal material was written later to make up stories based on Judes references here. So if Jude is the word of God and we are sure that it is, what is the point here and what does it suggest? I think we can compare this verse with many others and get a better picture. I am not going to take the time to write the whole subject at this time but I will summarize. Moses died, and God buried him. No man knows where to this day. Moses body might have been taken to heaven. If so Satan would have opposed the legality of such a thing. It is satan’s legal right to cause death to reign and for the body of men to see corruption, rot after death. Remember Peter said in Acts 2 that David was prophesying of Jesus when he said.. Thou wilt not suffer thy holy one to see corruption. Satan accused God of being unjust in not allowing Moses body to be corrupted like all others. There is something significant to the kingdom of hell to see death have its complete sway on man even unto the rotting of the flesh in the grave. The angel said the Lord Rebuke thee. Because God did indeed satisfy the legal requirements of His own justice but satan did not know how yet. If I treated this subject fairly It would be several pages long. Satan is the accuser, his power is not like in the movies, he does not have power to just kill you outright, he gains power to bring destruction on a man through accusations. The spiritual warfare is more like a heavenly courtroom than a pitched battle of angels with cosmic swords. You have several scenes into this realm in the bible. Though this one concerning Moses is not in the OT the one where Satan accuses Joshua is (Zech) and there satan accuses Joshua because of sin, and the angel says The Lord Rebuke thee, is not this a brand plucked from the fire. Thus again there was a reason why God could use Joshua though he had been guilty of sin. We know that this is because Jesus would come and die and rise again and declare believers justified, that God might be just and the justifier of him that believeth in Jesus. So God did not violate His own holiness and justice by allowing Joshua access to the administrations of the priesthood, though satan used that argument. And I think the contention over the body of moses has to be similar. There was some legal argument satan presented over why he should have access to the body and it was denied him. Now Moses body represented the church in the wilderness just as Jesus body represents the whole church. To bring this to a conclusion we have another fight between satan and Michael in Revelation and there again satan is defeated, and cast down. Revelation 12:5 And she brought forth a man child, who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron: and her child was caught up unto God, and to his throne. Revelation 12:7-8 And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels, And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven. Revelation 12:11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death. The saints are seen as involved in the fight, or that the fight is over them. See here satan is contending with Michael over the fact that the manchild is caught up. This manchild is not just Jesus, but the Church, the manifestation of the sons of God, the redemption of the purchased possession, our bodies being glorified, and us rising.. that is what satan is arguing against. Satan is accusing the body of Christ that is rising to meet the Lord in the air as not having the right to escape death.. And the angle says the Lord Rebuke thee.. Only this time we have the complete reason why.. Because of the Blood of the Lamb and The word of their testimony. I do not content for this interpretation since it belongs in the realm speculation, but it works best for me at this time and better than most commentaries I have read thus far. |

475 | Why did Satan want Moses bones? | Jude 1:9 | Scribe | 85230
No, this is the fulfilment of the prophesy, death is swallowed up in victory. Paul saw a mystery revealed by illumination (and divine inspiration) concerning many old Testament prophesies about the resurrection from the dead. He saw that the prophesies speak of a people that would be alive and changed immortal. 1 Corinthians 15:51-56 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory. O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? There is a generation of saints that will not see death. Paul believed he could be part of that generation, so he said "WE". No man knows the hour, and God could have made it come to pass in Pauls day so Paul was not wrong, for God is not subject to time but time is subject to God. So we can say the same.. When WE that are alive are changed, our corruptible body is changed to incorruptible. You see that is the change spoken of. Changed from mortal to immortal, not that we die, but that we will not all see death, but some will just be changed. The dead in christ rise first, then we are changed in a twinkling to glorified bodies and rise. Our bodies are not left behind, they are changed and made glorified and eternal. Now when this occurs we also shine like the sun, and like the glory which Christ had on the mount, and we rise in glory. The world will see it in my opinion. |

476 | Why did Satan want Moses bones? | Jude 1:9 | Scribe | 85281
I understand your unwillingness to embrace such an interpretation, EdB and as I stated in my post "I do not content for this interpretation since it belongs in the realm speculation, but it works best for me at this time and better than most commentaries I have read thus far." Also as you accurately quoted me as saying "Moses' body Might have been taken to heaven," This is not speaking with authority. If I spoke with authority I would say that this is the undeniable clear meaning of the text and beyond all dispute. But I do not say such a thing. Your ideas are as valid as mine since we do not have clear explanation of the dispute over the body of Moses. The fact is that we have it in Jude and only what God wanted us to know is the most important which is, that we ought to humble ourselves and not presume upon God or the adminstrations of God when it comes to things we no nothing about such as angels and their ministries. I understand that Jude had to content with gnostics and Judaizers as the other apostles also did, and that he is rebuking them for their arrogant attitudes thinking they have inside knowlege about angels and such things, and also that they think they have the the right to rail against authorities, (whether in the church, or heavenlies) It is simply a rebuke toward them that even Michael who is greater in authority and might than satan (and also than these railers) did not bring railing accusation against satan, but appeals to the authority of God who is Judge of all. We also must be careful not to rail against authorities either in the church or without, or for that matter even agains satan, calling him names and thinking that by our wrathful spewing of words upon him that we somehow are able to have an effect on him. We should simply say the Lord rebuke you, to satan, and the powers of darkness. However taking up the argument that this reference is in the word of God to hint at anything else besides that one lesson, maybe it applies to your interpretation and maybe it applies to mine or maybe we are both wrong. I think if we use scripture to compare with scripture and look up all the references in the bible that have to do with "The Lord Rebuke you" or other references where satan and michael fight it seems more fitting that we would be on the right path of gaining insight than if we simply imagine other possible scenarios with no biblical pattern based on this text. At least that is the only thing I feel comfortable persuing. If I cannot find other references of like kind, I might as well leave it alone altogether because anyones guess is as good as anothers. Concerning the idea that the warfare is legal in nature. This is not something I made up today. It has been expounded upon by many scholars in church history and I am only agreeing with them that I have often seen the same pattern in the scriptures. The whole Bible declares this progression of the Justice of a Holy God not being violated by a cheap grace. The fact that Jesus had to die and rise again to purchase your salvation.. Legal justification.. That God would be Just and the Justifier of him that believes in Jesus is about this. Remember the story of Job. This is not some fairy tale or parable that never happened. Satan did indeed appear before God and accuse Job.. this is a picture of what still goes on. Satan is still accusing the brethren night and day. But there is coming a day when he is cast down and not allowed into this heavenlie court and that is what happens in Revelation. Of course there are those that have different views. Many see the battle in revelation as having already occurred when satan originally fell. I do not see it that way becuase the rejoicing of the saints having overcome him by the blood of the Lamb is associated with this event and would mean that it had to either happen at the cross or resurrection or at the future resurrection. May God Bless You as You study His Word. |

477 | Why did Satan want Moses bones? | Jude 1:9 | Scribe | 85283
I personaly do not think that Jude is quoting from the Assumption of Moses. The Assumption of Moses, for those that do not know, was in extant at the time of Origen, who thought that Jude might be referring to it. However there is no proof that the Assumption of Moses was in extant at the time of Jude. If it was then it seems to me that Jude would have made it clear in some way like Paul did that he was quoting from an extra biblical source, such as "one of your own prophets has said." But Jude mentions it like it is actual history and so I think it was most likely a Jewish tradition that contained truth. This is the only way I can reconcile it in my mind so far. I think that The mention of Enoch and this mention are not quotes from apocryphal books but rather there have been books written by gnostics and other spurious writers that attempted to fabricate stories based on these mentions in the Bible. But I that is my opinion and I am aware that there are many that have a different one. May God Bless you as you study His Word. |

478 | Why did Satan want Moses bones? | Jude 1:9 | Scribe | 85323
The existance of the Book of Enoch among the dead sea scrolls does not proove that Jude was quoting Enoch. It could be that the Jews held to a tradition about a prophecy of Enoch that Jude quotes perfectly under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, and that the writer or writers of the book of Enoch knew of this tradition also but fabricated their version to the point of ridiculousness, as it is fairly obvious that it is a fabulous tale from writers with Greek influence. So Jude's quote of known tradition among the Jews, and the book of Enoch merge on the tradition, but Jude may not necessisarily be quoting from Enoch. The same with the mention of the Body of Moses, it is very possible that Jude was mentioning only that part of Jewish tradition that was actually true history not quoting from the Assumption of Moses, and that the writer of the Assumption of Moses had taken up their own account of the same tradition. There is no evidence that Jude was quoting from these books. The way Jude simply speaks of it as known history makes it sound more like he was speaking of known tradition among the Jews. I really do not know for sure whether he was quoting from them or not. If he was I do not believe that gives them authority as scripture anymore than when Paul quoted from Greek poets. When it comes right down to daily living, I have to believe God has preserved His Word as He said He would, If Jude quoted the book of Enoch, and Enoch is not scripture, then it only stands to reason that the revelation of what Enoch prophesied was passed down through history, before the writing of the book of enoch, and that this account was never recorded by the prophets until Jude, is simply a Divine manifestation of God keeping certain things secret until the time came. And it really does not matter much to me, because even if he was quoting from the book of Enoch, the truth that he is giving at the time is all about the coming of the Lord and judgement upon the ungodly that are teaching false doctrine. If that is what we focus on in this passage we do not really care who he is quoting, we see that this truth of Jude is in agreement with the whole Bible, where as the things in the book of enoch are not at all in agreement but gross Greek/Hebrew fables. |

479 | WHY DOSE IT HAVE TO BE MOSSES AND ELIJAH | Revelation | Scribe | 43265
If one can understand this verse then they can understand the two witnesses. Zechariah 4:11-14 Then answered I, and said unto him, What are these two olive trees upon the right side of the candlestick and upon the left side thereof? And I answered again, and said unto him, What be these two olive branches which through the two golden pipes empty the golden oil out of themselves? And he answered me and said, Knowest thou not what these be? And I said, No, my lord. Then said he, These are the two anointed ones, that stand by the Lord of the whole earth. |

480 | Summary of letters to the seven churches | Rev 1:11 | Scribe | 86430
Part of 2 The message to the seven churches are the words of Christ to the Church. If you ever wandered what Jesus would say about your church if He were to show and and tell you, you do not have to wonder any longer. All you have to do is read and prayerfully meditate on Reve 2 and 3. The angel tells John what the meaning of the vision of the Glorified Son of God is. He is told that the stars He holds are the angels of the seven churches and the candlesticks are the seven churches. The KJV scholars being faithful to the greek translated it angels and that is exactly what the Lord wanted us to understand. Without going into it so I can fit everything in this post, using angels was to convey the promise that if the pastors and leadership and preachers are faithful they will inherit great rewards and be “as” the angels. The candlesticks in Jesus hand speaks of all the church and not just these 7. Is Jesus only holding these 7 churches in his hands or are not all saints, (all the church) in the palm of His hand? So why 7, it speaks the whole true church and not just those that call themselves church. The Lord knows whos are his and let every man that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity. As you review each church I believe you are seeing a type of church, denomination, local assembly, or even individual Christian conditions of the heart. In church history you might even be able to identify certain church “ages” or historic periods where a particular church in this list fits the condition of the church world wide until a certain change like the reformation etc.. As much as has been written about those things, they never edify me or bear witness in my spirit. I feel that the best application is, a type of local assembly, denominational or otherwise, and a type of Christian condition. So from the time it was written until today we have always had all 7 types with us and all saints of all ages can read this portion and determine to please Christ based on what is revealed here about what Jesus hates and what he likes in our lives and in our churches. So in Ephesus, you have a type of denomination, local church or even a Christian that is very effective at identifying false doctrine and hates the teachings that lead to compromise as it relates to sin, but in their perfection of doctrine and their willingness to “contend” for the faith, they have left their first love. What is the first love? We can say it is the affectionate adoratioin of the believer to Jesus Christ, or the whole hearted devotion to the person of Jesus. It is very common for very educated theologians who began with no knowledge of scripture at all and were known for their fervency of spirit and love for the Lord, to grow cold over time and after learning all doctrine, to leave off worship and adoration of Christ who washed them from their sins. It is also common for denominations who started off with a fresh revelation the church needed, to perfect that doctrine and become champions of that doctrine and yet loose their love for Christ and the freshness of that doctrine they once knew, so that they become a mechanized machine going through the motions. The Smyrna church is that type of church or Christians that have nothing in the eyes of the world, even living in government projects or worse in persecution in countries that arrest Christians, that have all that really matters, a love for the Lord and willing heart to go all the way with Christ. These saints are poor in the eyes of the world, but they bubble over with the love of Christ and are rich in heaven. These are they that keep on glowing even when the world seems set on stamping them out. They don’t follow the name it and claim it crowd because they don’t really care what they drive, their heart is set on higher things and so they are counted WORTHY to suffer for his name so that they might receive treasures this world can never know.
