43 | How eagles renew their strength | Is 40:1 | fmp6954 | 235828
Greetings Thati I don't know if this answers your question but I cross referenced Isaiah 40:31 here is the result. Job 17:9; 9 "Nevertheless 1the righteous will hold to his way, And 2he who has clean hands will grow stronger Ps 103:5; 5 Who satisfies your years with good things, So that your youth is 9renewed like the eagle 2 Cor 4:8-10, 16 8 we are 1afflicted in every way, but not 2crushed ; perplexed, but not despairing 9 persecuted, but not forsaken ; struck down, but not destroyed 10 always carrying about in the body the dying of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our body 16 Therefore we 1do not lose heart, but though our outer man is decaying, yet our inner man is being renewed day by day. have a good day fmp |

Hey you! Trying to understand what you are trying to say. I sounds like you are saying that God should not pronounce final judgement on a person for worshiping God by the way they feel in their heart about the word of God instead of following the commandments of God. (feel good religon) |

47 | CONTINUED ON NEXT NOTE | John | fmp6954 | 235690
John 1:17 17 For the Law was given through Moses ; grace and truth were realized through Jesus Christ. #1 Grace and truth came through Jesus Christ #2 The law came through Moses Exodus 34:27-28 27 Then the LORD said to Moses, "Write down these words, for in accordance with these words I have made a covenant with you and with Israel." 28 So he was there with the LORD forty days and forty nights ; he did not eat bread or drink water. And he wrote on the tablets the words of the covenant, the Ten Commandments. #1 To whom was the Lord speaking in these verses? Moses. #2 God made this covenant (Ten Commandments) with Moses and the nation of Israel. #3 Do these verses say that God made this covenant (Ten Commandments) with Christians? NO! Galatians 3:16-19 16 Now the promises were spoken to Abraham and to his seed. He does not say, "And to seeds," as referring to many, but rather to one, "And to your seed," that is, Christ. 17 What I am saying is this : the Law, which came four hundred and thirty years later, does not invalidate a covenant previously ratified by God, so as to nullify the promise. 18 For if the inheritance is based on law, it is no longer based on a promise ; but God has granted it to Abraham by means of a promise. 19 Why the Law then ? It was added because of transgressions, having been ordained through angels by the agency of a mediator, until the seed would come to whom the promise had been made. #1 The Law was given until the ___seed_____ should come. #2 The seed referred to __Jesus____ . #3 God intended for the Law He gave to Moses and the Jews to last only until the time of Christ. TRUE! Luke 16:17 17 "But it is easier for heaven and earth to pass away than for one stroke of a letter of the Law to fail. Matthew 5:17-18 17 "Do not think that I came to abolish the Law or the Prophets ; I did not come to abolish but to fulfill. 18 "For truly I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not the smallest letter or stroke shall pass from the Law until all is accomplished. #1 Jesus came to fulfill the law. TRUE! #2 Jesus said the Law would not pass away until all was fulfilled (accomplished). TRUE! #3 It would have been easier for heaven and earth to pass away than for the Law to pass away before its time. TRUE! #4 Did Jesus say the Law would never pass away? NO! #5 Did Jesus say the Law would pass away when heaven and earth passed away? NO! #6 Jesus said the Law would pass away when all was accomplished (fulfilled). Not before. TRUE! John 19:28-30 28 After this, Jesus, knowing that all things had already been accomplished, to fulfill the Scripture, said, "I am thirsty." 29 A jar full of sour wine was standing there; so they put a sponge full of the sour wine upon a branch of hyssop and brought it up to His mouth. 30 Therefore when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, "It is finished !" And He bowed His head and gave up His spirit. #1 All was accomplished (fulfilled) when Jesus died on the cross. TRUE! #2 Therefore, the Law passed away when Jesus died on the cross. TRUE! |

I used wikipedia for the difinition of theology simply because it is non-basis unlike the web site you quoted. I don't really care what the difinition is because my point is IT WAS WRITTEN BY HUMANS!! and that puts it in the same catagory as a Commmentary. I prefer Doctrine as that is the inspired word of God. And what is your point of trying to label people all the time? Would you like to be labeled ? fmp |

question #1 you said i don't like to be labeled I admit that that was the wrong choice of words, what I didn't like was being called a campbellite I do not follow campbell I follow Jesus. #2 I did mis-spell a word but you knew what i was talking about. Theopedia is openly bias! Their would be not a problem with definitions of words if the person writting would use words that are easy to understand. when you use uncommon words you have to look them up to try to get the meaning of what was being said, you get multible diffinations so you never know for sure what that person means. so no communications takes place. I would like to correct you on your last point, You quoted that I said I truly believe and determined that I was the only Christian on the forum, You miss quoted and mis-understood what is said. I said as far as I can determine. I have only been on this forum a short time, and interacted with only a couple people enough to know they do not fit the mold for a christian as stated in the scriptures. And I hope you will forgive me for mispelling any other words you might find. And Yes I am frustrated but not because people do not meet my mind or belief, simply because I see so many people that are lawless and speak many great thing about the lord but do not obey his words. See Matthew 7:21,23. Oh by the way your post was great, totally understandable. In Christ Fmp (Fred) |

58 | Why no prophets anymore? | 1 Cor 14:5 | fmp6954 | 235830
hello Nathan If you notice in 1 Corinthians Paul is speaking to the Christians in Corinth, about spiritual gifts these Christians were coveting the gift of Tongues so Paul is telling them that the gift of Prophesy was the greater gift. So Prophesy was active at that time. but the written Word was not available to them then. Notice in 1 Corinthians 13:8,10 8 Love never fails ; but if there are gifts of prophecy, they will be done away ; if there are tongues, they will cease ; if there is knowledge, it will be done away. 9 For we know in part and we prophesy in part ; 10 but when the perfect comes, the partial will be done away the Perfect being the word. ( Jesus was perfect and he was the word) So all spiritual gifts ceased at that time. As far as the last prophet goes I don't have a clue. Only Prophets now are false prophets. Thank You fmp |

59 | How do you feel about the Ten Commandmen | Ephesians | fmp6954 | 235692
Ephesians 2:11-16 11 Therefore remember that formerly you, the Gentiles in the flesh, who are called " Uncircumcision" by the so-called "Circumcision," which is performed in the flesh by human hands – 12 remember that you were at that time separate from Christ, excluded from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers to the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world. 13 But now in Christ Jesus you who formerly were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ. 14 For He Himself is our peace, who made both groups into one and broke down the barrier of the dividing wall, 15 by abolishing in His flesh the enmity, which is the Law of commandments contained in ordinances, so that in Himself He might make the two into one new man, thus establishing peace, 16 and might reconcile them both in one body to God through the cross, by it having put to death the enmity. #1 The Law of commandments was a wall or partition (hostility/enmity) between Jews and non-Jews (Gentiles) TRUE! #2 When Jesus gave his flesh (body) and shed His blood on the cross, He abolished the law of commandments that formerly had been a barrier between Jews and Gentiles. TRUE! #3 All men (Jews and non-Jews) can now have peace with each other and with God through the death of Jesus Christ on the cross, not through the Ten Commandments. True! Romans 7:1-4 1 Or do you not know, brethren (for I am speaking to those who know the law ), that the law has jurisdiction over a person as long as he lives ? 2 For the married woman is bound by law to her husband while he is living ; but if her husband dies, she is released from the law concerning the husband. 3 So then, if while her husband is living she is joined to another man, she shall be called an adulteress ; but if her husband dies, she is free from the law, so that she is not an adulteress though she is joined to another man. 4 Therefore, my brethren, you also were made to die to the Law through the body of Christ, so that you might be joined to another, to Him who was raised from the dead, in order that we might bear fruit for God. #1 Would it please God for a woman to have two husbands at the same time? No! #2 Would it please God for a Christian to try to live by the Old Testament Law and the New Testament at the same time? No! Romans 7:7 7 What shall we say then ? Is the Law sin ? May it never be! On the contrary, I would not have come to know sin except through the Law ; for I would not have known about coveting if the Law had not said, "YOU SHALL NOT COVET." #1 The Law said, “You shall not covet” TRUE! #2 “You shall not covet.” Was one of the Ten Commandments (Exodus 20:17) TRUE! #3 The Law, therefore , included the Ten Commandments. TRUE! Romans 7:6 6 But now we have been released from the Law, having died to that by which we were bound, so that we serve in newness of the Spirit and not in oldness of the letter. #1 Jews were released (delivered) from the Law (Ten Commandments). TRUE! #2 Christians were never bound by the Law (Ten Commandments). TRUE! #3 Should you try to obey the Law (including the Ten Commandments). Which God has abolished? NO! #4 If I sincerely believe in God and try to keep the Ten Commandments), I will probably go to heaven when I die. FALSE! #5 The Old Testament Law ended when Jesus died on the cross. TRUE! #6 I am not obligated to obey the Ten Commandments which have been abolished. TRUE! How do you feel about the Ten Commandments being abolished? |

60 | How do you feel about the Ten Commandmen | Ephesians | fmp6954 | 235702
Dear Azure Thanks for your response. to elaborate more look at Exodus 34:27,28 you can see that God was speeking to Moses. God made this covenant (Ten Commandments) with Moses and the nation of Israel. It doesn't say that God made this covenant (Ten Commandments) with christians, So Christians were never held accountable for the Ten Commandments in the first place. as for living a lawless life The New Testament has 1050 commandments to guide you how to live your life. Here is a web site you can see all those commandments. http://www.biblicalresearchreports.com/listofcommands.php Thank you fmp6954 |
