41 | Terri's Passing | Not Specified | Praise Be To God | 147331
I just wanted to let you know that I tried to stand-in for Terri Schiavo on the eve of her death, in prayer at my church. I asked the Pastor if I could do it before the service started and he said, "We might not get to that point." All evening, the main topic of discussion by our pastor was "hunger and thirst" for Christ. I kept thinking to myself, "There is no one more hungry or more thirsty than Terri Schiavo." I was gravely disappointed that we did not pray for her. I cannot understand why we did not. I don't know what our pastor could have been thinking to be so remiss. I apologize that I was unable to carry out this request. The good news is, she's with the Lord now. I just heard Dr. Dobson's "Focus on the Family" radio program, which was today about Terri Schiavo's death, and I am feeling saddened and helpless. What now are the implications for the severely disabled all over our country? Last night at prayer meeting we prayed against the spirit of death which has been released in this country. I speak life into these United States. God is our light. Let the light of God dispel the darkness. Let God's kingdom reign in these United States! Even so, Come, Lord Jesus, Come. Janae |

46 | Benny Hinn go exercise his gift? | Is 53:5 | Praise Be To God | 147130
How can I answer that? Perhaps he has already prayed for her. There is no distance in prayer. Janae |

47 | Why don't the "healers" visit Terri? | Is 53:5 | Praise Be To God | 147092
God can give someone the gift of healing--a special anointing for healing. Benny Hinn has that gift; two women from my church have that anointing, and when they pray for you, healing occurs. It is not THEM doing the healing, but God heals THROUGH THEM. I know, I have been healed of arthritis. I could not even walk. I was prayed for by a lady at church who prays for many and they are healed. Also, my friend in prison found a lump in his body, and the prison doctor found two lumps. I stood in for him while a lady named Margie prayed for the lumps to disappear. She told me after the prayer that she has "a special anointing for lumps and bumps". She has even felt them shrink under her hand as she prays. The next Sunday, I went forward in church for prayer for my friend again, that the lumps would disappear. The next week he was escorted to the doctor and had an MRI. There was nothing there. PRAISE AND GLORY BE TO GOD!!! GOD IS THE HEALER!!! These people who pray for us, they know that God is the healer. If they are genuine, they do not say they are doing the healing. They give all the credit and all the glory to God. PRAISE HIS NAME!!! Janae |

God heals--people don't. What we can do now is pray that God will intervene and she will be saved, and that she will be put in her right mind. Janae |

50 | what is salvation and how does it work ? | Eph 2:8 | Praise Be To God | 146459
No, God won't take it back, but we can remove ourselves. I think this is one of those subjects where we are not supposed to get into a huge discussion about--once saved, always saved, or not. Janae |

51 | Why didn't God create us without sin? | Gen 3:15 | Praise Be To God | 146381
You gave the right answer. Free will. God gave us free will. We are not His robots. We have the power to choose for ourselves what our destinies will be. God is righteous and holy. He cannot look upon sin. Adam's decision brought sin and death upon the entire human race, but God made a way of escape through the Blood of Jesus. How can your daughter say we are as pieces in a chess game, when we have free will? Janae |

52 | lessons for children that lie | Rev 21:8 | Praise Be To God | 146370
Dear Tonya, God is so good! Wouldn't you know He would help us in this question. Yesterday, I took my little granddaughter, Mollie, to church with me. I stayed with her during Sunday School and Children's Church. The Children's Church lesson was about lying! Anyway, here is what they learned. The Bible verse was Proverbs 19:5: "A false witness shall not be unpunished, and he that speaketh lies shall not escape." And they had the story of Ananias and Sapphira to illustrate what happens to liars. What I learned yesterday in Children's Church, only reinforces what I have already given you previously. Hope this helps even more. (You might want to read this to him in another version, which would be easier for him to understand.) Acts 5:1-11: But a certain man named Ananias, with Sapphira his wife, sold a possession, 2And kept back part of the price, his wife also being privy to it, and brought a certain part, and laid it at the apostles' feet. 3But Peter said, Ananias, why hath Satan filled thine heart to lie to the Holy Ghost, and to keep back part of the price of the land? 4Whiles it remained, was it not thine own? and after it was sold, was it not in thine own power? why hast thou conceived this thing in thine heart? thou hast not lied unto men, but unto God. 5And Ananias hearing these words fell down, and gave up the ghost: and great fear came on all them that heard these things. 6And the young men arose, wound him up, and carried him out, and buried him. 7And it was about the space of three hours after, when his wife, not knowing what was done, came in. 8And Peter answered unto her, Tell me whether ye sold the land for so much? And she said, Yea, for so much. 9Then Peter said unto her, How is it that ye have agreed together to tempt the Spirit of the Lord? behold, the feet of them which have buried thy husband are at the door, and shall carry thee out. 10Then fell she down straightway at his feet, and yielded up the ghost: and the young men came in, and found her dead, and, carrying her forth, buried her by her husband. 11And great fear came upon all the church, and upon as many as heard these things. 53 | lessons for children that lie | Rev 21:8 | Praise Be To God | 146235
Dear Tonya, I am the mother of 5 and the grandmother of 7. For me, the truth has always been the best and only way. The Word of God is the Truth. What I have already given you is my best answer. I do not believe we should sugar-coat the Word of God. The Word of God says that liars will be in the lake of fire along with murderers, sorcerers and idolaters. There is another verse I will give you which may help you to see that the truth will do the most good. It is Jude 1:23: "And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh." Hope this helps. Janae |

Revelation 21:8 (KJV): "But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death." Janae |

55 | worship in front of a wooden cross | 2 Kin 18:4 | Praise Be To God | 146087
Our church had a very large wooden cross on the platform for many weeks. Pinned upon this cross were index cards containing the prayers of believers in our church. We, as a congregation, prayed for those prayer needs and I, personally, went up to the cross and touched it as I prayed, as did many others. Not once did it occur to me that I was worshipping the cross. Instead, it made me feel closer to God and closer to those people who had written out their prayer requests. It is ridiculous to think that anyone would be worshipping the cross! That cross is a symbol of why Jesus came to earth, and reminds us why we pray in the first place. To think that someone would be worshipping that cross, you would have to think that your fellow believers are heathenistic pagans from another century! Give people a little credit, won't you? The object of our worship is Jesus Christ, not the cross He died on. And, by the way, our Pastor and his staff prayed daily for weeks at that cross, touching it, and many prayers were answered. 56 | Damascus Road Experience | Acts 22:8 | Praise Be To God | 144821
Yesterday our message in church was on Paul's Damascus Road Experience and we asked God to give us a Damascus Road Experience. I am sure the Holy Spirit dealt with every person present, as He did with me. Our pastor asked Jesus to reintroduce Himself to each of us, as He did when we were first saved. Yesterday at church was a wonderful, Holy Spirit-filled time in the Lord's presence. So, therefore, having this fresh in my spirit, I ask each of you to examine yourselves and make sure your relationship with Jesus is what it should be. We can always grow closer to God. There is always more of Him to know and to experience. We are to love God and love our brothers as ourselves. I hope no one took offense at my question. Love in Christ, Janae |

57 | Damascus Road Experience | Acts 22:8 | Praise Be To God | 144812
You know, Saul was the Pharisee's Pharisee. He knew the scriptures better than any other man of his time and he took it upon himself to "help" God by ridding the nation of Christians. It was not until his Damascus Road experience where he met Jesus, that he found out he was wrong--completely wrong. A question to ask yourself is this: You know the scriptures, but do you know Jesus?
58 | Can you tell me where was jesus for thos | Rev 1:18 | Praise Be To God | 144810
Thank you, Mark, and thank you for your sweet spirit and pleasant way of saying things. What you say makes total sense because "Paradise" would be Abraham's Bosom, as you say and, the thief was with Him in Paradise. Thank you for making that clear. He lead captivity captive, then the thief would have gone on to heaven with Him. Thank you for your response. God bless you. This makes perfect sense. Janae |

60 | Can you tell me where was jesus for thos | Rev 1:18 | Praise Be To God | 144792
The tomb was above the ground. The Holy Spirit has told me that Paul was referring to hell. I did not say that Jesus went to hell to atone for our sins. His death on the cross did that. I merely said he went to hell. My intellect tells me that since Jesus took upon his body all the sins of the world, that he would have to go to hell, because that is what happens to the sinner (although, Jesus, himself, was spotless and sinless). He went to hell for us. He died for us, so we wouldn't have to. I don't know what happened while he was in hell, but I know that he won the victory, and the keys to death and hades. When we get to heaven all things will be made known to us. We will find out exactly what happened to Jesus during those three days. In the meantime, we have to listen to the Holy Spirit when He tells us things while we are reading the Holy Scriptures. He wrote them. He is the teacher. The Bible says we need no man to teach us these things, as the Holy Spirit will lead us into all truth. I can't make you see my point of view and I am not trying to. You are free to believe what you want to believe on this point. It will not affect your salvation. But, I do not want to argue about it. I think we should just agree to disagree and leave it at that. Janae |
