43 | Where are guardian angels mentioned? | Bible general Archive 1 | HeirofGod | 798
He said Angels charge of thee not Angel. In Matthew Satan was tempting Jesus so why would someone be tempted to cast himself down from a high place to see if he saves himself. Satan also quoted the scripture wrong. He left out one of the most important parts "in all thy ways". It was a trick to get Jesus to jump off a building. They are not describing him at all. Ps. 91 tells us that God has protection for all of us. Think about some situations in your life where you should have died or been seriously injured. In fact ask God to show you times where he has kept you from death or injury. His angels have charge over us to keep us in all our ways. This means protection. Read the way the scripture is written in Ps. 91 and the way it is quoted by Satan in Matt. 4:6 and Luke 4:11. There is a difference.
44 | That's an interesting belief. | Luke 23:43 | HeirofGod | 797
Please don't swing to once saved always saved because they disagreed with your scriptures. The holy spirit is a gentleman he does not make you do anything (we are led by the spirit Rom. 8:14). This means that if we want to denounce God and tell him that we don't want to go to heaven he is not going to make us. Matt. 12:31,32 says that we can denounce God and Jesus and be forgiven(when we ask). But if we denounce the Holy Spirit we can not be forgiven-if you cannot be forgiven then you lose your salvation. Only a believer can blaspheme the Holy Spirit because we are the only ones who can worship in spirit and in truth. We know the Spirit of Truth so only we can deny him and in doing so we lose our salvation. These are two ways you can lose salvation: Tell GOd you just don't want his salvation anymore (which can be forgiven), and to blaspheme the Holy Spirit (no forgiveness for this). All in all unless you are thinking about trying it to prove your point, don't worry about losing your salvation, worry about getting others where you are.
45 | Help with misled teen with gender issues | 1 Pet 5:7 | HeirofGod | 795
Unfortunately, the Bible is one size fits all. It looks to me as if Satan has attacked him, because of his age and his decision to follow Christ. I have been studying homosexuality in the Bible; it is not just the act of sex with the same gender. To get this trapped in your mind will put you in this category also. Here are some scriptures to help you decide what to talk to him about. Lev. 18:22, 20:13, Romans 1:24-28, 1 Cor.6:9. I hope this helps you and him with discovering who he is in Christ-A man who is an heir of God and a Joint heir with Christ.
46 | Where are guardian angels mentioned? | Bible general Archive 1 | HeirofGod | 793
The evidence that angels exist as guardians is here in ps. 91 11-12.
47 | where do blacks come from? | Bible general Archive 1 | HeirofGod | 792
The same place everyone else came from. Black people became darker because of where thier ancestors migrated. Just as any other race of people that go to where it is hotter or colder. Cubans can sometimes be as dark in color as some black people or as light as white people or asians. The same as black people, they adapted to where they were.
48 | Author of James, brother of Jesus? | James | HeirofGod | 791

49 | Why do we disagree? | 1 Thessalonians | HeirofGod | 787
What I am mainly asking is how can we as a body disagree on something that important? I konw that it will happen, why it will and how it will, but nobody knows when.
50 | Rapture - Bodies or souls disappear? | Matt 24:27 | HeirofGod | 658
The Rapture and the Glorious Appearing are two different events. Left Behind is talking about the Rapture, Matthew 24 is talking about the Glorious Appearing. Our bodies will disappear on the day the Rapture takes place or there will be no mystery for those who are left behind. If the bodies are left they will only think we have died but we will be very much alive. We will have our bodies with us they just will not be the corruptible bodies we have now. Remember when Jesus rose from the dead and he went back to the house where the disciples were? He just appeared in the room but he could be touched(Luke 24:39). Matthew 24 is saying that every eye will see him when he returns. The Rapture is only for the saints, so only we will see him in the sky. The Glorious Appearing is for Judgment this is when we the saints that were raptured return with him to Judge the world(those left behind that did not get saved during the tribulation period). This computer won't leave me alone enough to type all the scriptures that go with the different events so I will send them later if you are interested.
51 | Is there a Heaven? | 2 Cor 5:6 | HeirofGod | 655
I can tell you this, the children are in heaven. They are innocent and they haven't committed any sins that they are accountable for. For the adults to go to heaven they must have accepted Jesus Christ as thier savior. IF they have done that then Paul said that to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. I have also been taught that when we go home our loved ones will meet us to welcome us. I don't want to give you false hope, but if you know they were saved in this life then you know they are alive in heaven. Have you accepted Jesus?
52 | Can one who commits suicide be saved? | Ex 20:13 | HeirofGod | 588
Life can't get to unbearable for a christian but for a sinner I can believe that. I Peter 5:7 says for us to cast all our care upon him, so none of us are mentally or physically strong enough to carry our burdens, yet because Jesus is carrying them we survive. It is true God knows the heart of a human but for the person who commits suicide death is in thier hearts. Look at Judas Iscariot, he betrayed Jesus, was convicted in his heart and could not bear to live any longer. He hung himself. I believe he had a chance to ask for forgiveness and probably did before he killed himself; Do you think he was forgiven? No he wasn't because John 17:12 says that none of the people that GOd gave Jesus was lost(unsaved) but the son of perdition-Judas. So you see Judas was lost meaning there was no forgiveness for him. He wasn't lost because he betrayed Jesus, he was lost because he hung himself.
53 | Where is in the world not of the world | John 17:11 | HeirofGod | 484
St. John chapter 15:19 tells us that we were chosen out of the world. St. John 17:11-16 tells us that we are not of the world.
54 | Is repentance required? | Ex 20:13 | HeirofGod | 476

55 | Do all Christians agree on the rapture? | 1 Thessalonians | HeirofGod | 474
In I Thes. 4:17 the bible talks about being caught up,Does every christian believe that the rapture will take place?
56 | Is repentance required? | Ex 20:13 | HeirofGod | 472
Repentance is admitting that you have sinned against God. This is part of salvation. Confession unto the Father that you have sinned is what you do after you become a Christian. When the Holy spirit makes you aware of something you did then you confess and ask for forgiveness. Let me know if that helps you at all.
57 | Can one who commits suicide be saved? | Ex 20:13 | HeirofGod | 469
God does not forgive suicide because the person who committed the sin can not ask for forgiveness afterwards. God can forgive you for commiting a murder to another person if you live to repent, but if there is no life left in your body to repent you are not forgiven. The bible says you have not because you ask not. If you can't ask you can't get it.
58 | Can one who commits suicide be saved? | Ex 20:13 | HeirofGod | 468
No. That's murder. Even thought we now call it suicide it is murder in God's eyes.
59 | Is inter-racial marriage biblical? | Deut 7:3 | HeirofGod | 458
I agree totally. God was trying to protect the israelites from being seduced by Idol worship. He didn't want them to marry the ones who did not believe in thier God,(Solomon and Queen of Sheba).
60 | Wife or wives? | Deut 7:3 | HeirofGod | 457
No that's not true. You can only have one wife now. He allowed in the OT to populate the world. Now in the NT (the covenant that we are under) we can only have one husband or wife. Read the gospels where it talks about this and Epesians 5:22-25. I know some religions still believe in the wives thing but that is called adultery now. I hope that helps.
